The facilities are well-kept and the trails that branch off of the campground offer excellent avenues for exploring. HOWEVER, as even leashed dogs are not allowed on the beach, my experience was limited. PLEASE allow dogs on the beach.

It was a very nice stay , we use Landon BEACH for the handicap access there is a large mat going out to the beach very easy to walk on.From the end of the mat it a short walk on the sand to the water.

We love everything in our Fort Pickens experience. The best part is the short walk to the beach. I cant wait to comeback and stay longer.

With the Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay in close proximity to the campgrounds, you will find plenty to do and see at Fort Pickens. Laundry facilities, showers and recycling bins are available in the campgrounds.

We were very satisfied with our experience. Our site in A loop was an easy walk to the beach, with plenty of space. The bathhouse was clean. They were very particular about not having any tires on the grass or road area.

Since pets can not go to the beach and must remain on leash I wish you had a fenced in dog park so our pets could run.It would be perfect then.

We enjoyed touring the ranger guided tour of the fort. Also, great biking within the park all on the road leading to Pensacola Beach.

Stayed in Loop A. Loved that it was walking distance to beach that was basically for the campers. Very easy to get around to the other beach areas with vehicle. Great access to the bay area by pier for fishing. Grounds are very nice. Only complaint would be about the cleanliness of the bath house.

We always have a good time at Ft pickens. I was a little disapointed about the amount of red ants on our site. it made it difficult for us to enjoy our campsite. walking trails to the bay were a little unkempt.Beaches are beautiful. and that is what we came for. we will be back. Blue angels pratice at the bay was pretty neat!

Love Fort Pickens, but totally disagree with their new height and length policies. We have stayed at numerous sites with our current truck and fifth wheel, but will now be excluded from camping here because of these policies, even though our tax dollars will continue supporting the park.

Fort Pickens is a great place to stay a few days. Recommend bicycle or scooters get around. A car is good but limits your experience. Regardless is an awesome place to camp.

We live only 45 minutes away from Fort Pickens, yet we cherish the opportunity to camp there! It is very clean and the beach is second to none, domestically. While it is far more expensive than most campgrounds, it is worth every penny!
