I wish that the campground had a store.

Weve camped here before and had a wonderful experience, however, this time was different. Unfortunately, our campsite was almost completely covered with ants. You could barely step anywhere without ants getting on you. We tried so hard but it was nearly impossible to keep away from them because they were all over. Because of this, we all ended up with ant bites and it affected my son whose feet swelled up, so we ended up having to cut our trip short. So, my recommendation is not to pick a site with a lot of dirt because all the dirt could likely be swarmed with ants, like ours was at site D10.

The showers never got cleaned. The floors were covered in mud and hair. That part felt like being in a third-world country.

Park was well maintained and camp sites, showers and bathrooms were clean.Staff at gate and campground office were friendly and resourceful on addressing questions.I made a 35 mile bike ride in the park and along the biking/walking parkway in town. That should be an advertised destination for biking.Nothing to do with staff, but flies at campsite in afternoon were biting in September. Beaches in the afternoon did not have biting flies, but in the morning, they were all over my arms and legs despite the wind at the beach. Would like to come back in November and bike ride again and should be more pleasant temperatures for camping, biking and beach. Too bad the water will be cold though.
