The beaches here are amazing. The campground is nice, nothing special but roomy sites with good services. Struggled with internet a bit but that's on my provider, not the park. I love to camp here and will be back.

One of the most beautiful beaches my wife and I have ever been to. Wonderful camping facilities as well. We cant wait for a return visit!

The location of this campground is incredible. Miles of beautiful beach right across the street and down a boardwalk. Lots of wildlife and quiet. The sites of campgrounds are small but good- many with shady trees. The cons of this campground are the bathrooms and especially the showers. Not cleaned often and pretty bad. Two out of the four or five showers didnt have hot water when I was there a few weeks ago. If you arent using the facilities, then the location of this campground makes it a great place to stay.

Had a great time. I feel the park rangers a too harsh on vehicle tires touching grass. My truck tires were on gravel not the grass. And they made me move my truck. A bit harsh.

The grass around our fire needed to be mowed. We asked for assistance but no help. Light in one of the showers was not working. The bathrooms and showers were not maintained.

Access to the gulf and sound were great and the trails enjoyable. Fort Pickens is great to explore as well and you can do that at your own pace throughout your stay. The trash however is really sad to see. I realize it probably washes up from the gulf, but I picked up 8 or more Walmart bags 'stuffed' full in the two days I was there ..... PLUS carried more than a dozen huge items not in a bag. The sound side was also human trash, cans and menstrual material dumps. I think it would be wise to follow Blackwater River State Park example and have a trash pick up station and encourage others to pick up what they see. The only place I could throw the trash I gathered was in a big dumpster at the park. A child or short person could not even reach that lid. Maybe a secure trash can at the trailhead of each beach walk or something ..... Destin and other beaches don't have a smidgeon of this much trash. Or ... maybe find a volunteer that would walk the beach outlet areas each morning to pick up at least the huge things that wash up would be really appreciated. Just a thought. Blackwater River State Park keeps their trails and river beach fronts pristine somehow and the difference was very noticeable.

The campground was great and the host friendly. The beach was an easy access from loop A. The sites with trees were the nicest. The beach was beautiful but sadly the weather was not great on our trip. Enjoyed the fort and eating at Flounders!

Have been to Ft. Pickens many times and would definitely return there again. However, this time the grass needed to be mowed when we arrived and 2 weeks later when we left it still had not been mowed. The restrooms are normally verry clean however this trip that was not the case. On a positive note, the hosts were verry friendly and helpful, the fort, beach, and Blue Angels were amazing as always.

The beach is beautiful. The amenities are good. There is even a laundry room. The sites are short and rather close together so be careful what site you choose.

Ft Pickens is one of my favorites. Could have used a little bathroom attention this time though.

The bathhouses are the worst part of this campground. Haven’t been updated in probably 20-30 years. No soup dispensers by sinks.

Bring bikes and ride to Fort Pickens along Fort Pickens Rd in the bike lane. See beautiful views as you ride. Pensacola Beach has many nice restaurants, Flounders was probably my favorite but Shrimp Shack was good too. There are parts of the island you can see the Gulf of Mexico to the south and Pensacola Bay to the north. It is so beautiful. Sunsets are generally breathtaking. Not sure about sunrises as I seem to miss them.

We had a prefect time at Ft. Pickens Campground. Everyone was very friendly and they were all able to answer our questions. The park was amazing and we can't wait to come back. We liked meeting the Rangers and all the information they supplied us was great to know more about the island and the fort. Campground was always clean. Superior Job! Thank you all for making our trip memorable

Wonderful location, quiet and walking access to both the Gulf of Mexico and Escambia bay. Added plus is watching the Blue Angels practice when they are in town!

Beautiful location. Fort Pickens a must see! Weather can make for unplanned park closings.
