More investment in the park's facilities/infrastructure is needed including the campgrounds, the multiple beaches, and the fort itself. While I would not reccomend increasing the number of campings sites, I do reccomend increasing the quality of the site vegitation and the central bath/shower buildings. Compared to Florida State Campgrounds this and other Florida fed sites are way under par.To pay for this I reccomend doubling the site camping fees.BTW: the rangers and other emplowees were awesome and their recompense should me increased significantly!

Ft Pickens camping on the FL National Seashore provides a unique opportunity to experience panoramic views of nature, as well as hiking, biking, fishing, and swimming. Their camp check in/out process is very efficient. Their gift shop offers many nice items and were looking forward to completion of the Visitors Center renovation.

Dirty bathrooms, no toilet paper, the washing machines are broken. There's park rangers but they don't do anything. People fly down the one road and the park and we saw a few narrow misses, just kids crossing the road to the beach from the camp sites, there are signs for traffic to stop and allow pedestrians to cross but they are ignored. On one occasion a huge Cadillac truck run two scooters off the road. Camp hosts did jump in but the older man in the truck had a lot of disdain for children in the campsites. The police should of been called.

Much better than last visit as far as guest behavior (much quieter). Facilities were all good and well taken care of. These campgrounds are always busy, lots of dogs and lots of traffic. It is a beautiful beach and as far as I know the closest you can camp to it.

Winter beach camping at its best. I had the best spot, but Im keeping that to myself so it doesnt become too popular. :) saw bald eagles everyday I was there. Incredible!

We were told to shelter in place for two days due to flooding. It would be nice if there was somewhere in the park to buy ice in these instances for campers without electricity. There is a building by loop b-e that would be perfect for a store for emergency items.
I just took an overnight trip to check out the campground. This is a beautiful park for people who just enjoy the outdoors. Lots of history and a quiet place to get away from city life. I intend to spend a lot of time enjoying this island.

Fort Pickens is our favorite place for Spring Break every year. We love it and wouldnt want to travel to any other beach.
