We loved our time here. The site was clean, and the loop is right across the street from a boardwalk to the beach.

The park did an excellent job of communicating the evacuation but fell very on notifying us and others when the park reopened.

This was our first time at Ft Pickens, but we will visit again! We loved the wide beach and the campground. The fort area was very interesting. We also found a nice dog beach just outside the park.

My first time exploring and camping at Fort Pickens. This is a beautiful place to set up camp! Loved being close to the beach and enjoyed exploring and learning about Fort Pickens.

We stayed at Fort Pickens for three nights. Beautiful State Park. The beach has beautiful white sand and blue waters! Fort Pickens is interesting! The area is lovely! Met a lot of nice people! Will definitely return!

Ft. Pickens is the best camp spot in the panhandle. Even during the colder weather it was spectacular. One of our favorite campsites when we head south for the winter.

we love the location. new rules and parking regulations were a disappointment. the bathhouse needs work and more frequent cleaning. a dog beach would be nice. theres certainly plenty of space for one.

We had the best 2 weeks we have ever had. Our site was shady and bug free. Weather was perfect. Will definitely be back next year

Love this place. Campsite are pretty close, but for a national seashore it was awesome

Wish the park store was open. With as busy and booked solid for pretty much the last year and the year to come. It would be good for campers and very profitable for the park.

While traveling the gulf coast in February we spent two nights at Ft. Pickens with one full day to tour the area. We arrived late on a beautiful, warm, sunny day. It had rained earlier that day so parts of the road were covered with water. That made a dramatic effect driving through water while looking at the bay to our right and the sea to our left, both seeming to be about eye level. The campground, Loop A, accommodated our 30' travel trailer easily. Campsites were jammed together, but clean and nice with plenty of trees. The next day it was cold and rainy all day. We finally broke out of our warm cocoon with warm clothes and full rain gear to tour the fort. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves and it was spectacular. The Discovery Center provided a warm respite and a great education on the area. The ranger managing the Discovery Center was friendly and informative. He's a super star of customer relations. I walked some of the trails around the campground and walked the beach. Even in the rain and clouds it was beautiful. The next day dawned sunny but we had to go. This place is definitely on our list to come back and spend more time.

We were planning on boondocking for a quick overnight but found the temps were going to be in the 20's - going to need electricity after all. Very glad to be able to make a same day reservation at the Fort. Drove out with a beautiful sunrise on the beach. Next time we'll stay longer.

I camped here twice in 2021 and it is one of my favorite campgrounds. First, it is very close to the gulf beach, boardwalk right across the street from the campground and the beach is stunning. Campsite had good amount of trees, some grass and good space between other campers. Hosts were great. Will come back!

We went on a two-week unplanned, (so no reservations) camping trip. This was our favorite park in the Panhandle. Though the campground, in general leaves much to be desired, some spots are much better than others. There is little privacy, no sewage and in many spots, poor landscaping. We kept coming back or extending our stay. The third spot was pretty nice with The gulf is a nearby walk, as is the bay. Miles of white sandy beach. However, what is so amazing about this place is all of the historic military installations scattered about. The fort itself is captivating, but the rest of the place is an adventure. We took a three mile hike. Went to the gulf, went through pine trees, went to the bay, went to the fort, climbed up all kinds of old stairs to find chambers or a panoramic view, or naval guns. What a playground!
