Campground host was top notch. She came around and introduced herself and always asked if you needed anything. Weve stayed at a lot of campgrounds, and she made sure the restrooms were clean and stocked with supplies. She wanted to make sure we had the best camping experience possible.

The campground host at Lost Johnny Point this year was the best we have ever had in our 10 years of camping there! She was very friendly and kept the campground and bathrooms clean. She enforced the posted rules (quiet hours, paying day use fees at the launch) but did so in a professional manner.

The host was very rude and seemed to single us out. We returned at 9:30 one night (before quite hours even started) and left around 8:30 the next day and she sent a very rude text falsely accusing us of not staying there that night and said we were breaking the rules by doing that and she needed to have a talk with us. I explained that we had spent the night and I even had a picture to prove it and she then proceeded to act like I was a liar and said that her cameras did not show that we ever drove in or out of the campground. Next time we will definitely stay somewhere else. It is not worth the hassle and accusations, especially when we were always quite, kept to ourselves, and followed all the rules, unlike so many other campers there that she didnt bat an eye about. People were always loud way past quiet hours and left food out all the time, we saw even saw deer getting into it multiple times and had a bear at our site one night (though all our food was always locked up). We will not ever be staying here again.

Amy( the host) was fabulous. She was friendly, informative, accommodating and just over all wonderful. The restrooms were immaculate and didnt stink. This site is very remote from anything and so no glamping here but beautiful sights, quiet and not far from the lake to swim

Good: The campground as a whole was very nice. The bathrooms were clean and the lake was very pretty. We saw several deer at our campsite, which was fun.Bad: Our specific campsite did not have any shade, so trying to do anything outside before the sun went down was brutal. Also, there was no specific check-in procedure, which was very confusing. We got there right at 2pm and had no clue what to do. We went to the host site to say that we had arrived, and the host didn't seem to care/know why we were there. I had booked our campsite for two nights and planned on spending a majority of our time at Glacier NP, and because we were car-camping, we didn't have anything to leave at our site while we were gone. While leaving Glacier NP the second evening, I had finally gotten service around 4pm and received a text asking if we still wanted our campsite and that they would open it up to the public if we didn't get there by 2pm. This was incredibly frustrating, as we had booked that site several months ago and would've had nowhere else to stay. Although they had opened our site to the public (even though I had fully booked it for two nights), I luckily received service in time to notify the host that we would be back and they took it off the market. The host also asked if we had even been there the night before, because they "didn't see us there when they did final rounds at 9:30" when we had literally gone to the host site to notify them that we were there. Very confusing process. Would have liked more information and a more clear check-in/out procedure to ensure that the host knew we were there, plus a notification saying that we had a 9:30pm curfew to return to our site. I don't know why they are allowed to open up the spot to the public that had already been booked and paid for just because "we didn't leave anything at the site when we left". That didn't make any sense and seems like a money grab.

Sites should be wider so picnic tables can be close to the RV.

A pleasant place to camp in a beautiful area. Quick access to the reservoir and fishing areas. There were a lot of folks driving noisy atvs and side by sides, so be aware that is the kind of crowd you can find here. The campsite did quiet down during quiet hours though. Most of the campsites are fairly open with minimal tree cover, except on the south side.

Our week long stay at Lost Johnny point CG was very pleasant and enjoyable. The CG hosts were very nice and professional. The campground was clean and mostly quiet. However, there seemed to be an excessive use of generators (including an overly loud generator in the site next to us) throughout the day and evenings.

Nice CG. Sites are spaced nicely. Restrooms were clean and odor-free. Sites were litter-free. Hosts doing a very good job!
Lake views were obstructed or non-existant from most sites, though.

Overgrown and more primitive than we realized, brush was basically touching our truck and camper, and the fire ring was so far away we couldn’t see it from our camper. The sites are very small with little room for kids to play. Mosquitos were unbearable, some campers near us actually left after one night because of them. My kids, my husband and I were all bitten multiple times and it was a miserable trip unfortunately. The saving grace was the beach, it’s awesome, we spent the entire weekend there, even cooked there because we couldn’t be near our campsite because of mosquitos.

Beautiful location. Camp hosts were very welcoming. We stayed in Campsite 18 which was actually lower than the parking area, so just be aware that not all sites are easily accessible for all abilities. We car camped which is fine, but I would have liked a site that was level with the parking area. Bugs were pretty heavy but we were lucky to have some rain that kept them at bay. Very quiet and relaxing, with close access to the boat ramp/lake access. Our site didn't have bear boxes so we kept everything in our car, but just be aware that the bear boxes are limited in the campground. Overall, a very beautiful, quiet and relaxing location!

Of Note: Cell service limited (Verzion), can be buggy, limited bear boxes, a bit of a drive from town so get supplies in Hungry Horse or other locations.

We enjoyed our very peaceful and relaxing time at Lost Johnny Point Campground. The campsites were clean and well maintained, the roads easy to pull our camper on. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. We spoke to several other campers who had the same positive reactions to this campground as we did. Thank you for the lovely time.

If you like secluded peaceful campgrounds this one’s for you. Campsites were layout well giving space between others, with sites 4,11 and 12 able to accommodate larger RV’s. Camp host were top notch during our stay

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
