We were there at the end of August, weather was perfect, site 7, flat and big. It didn't have a lake view but few sites do. Quiet, nice evenings sitting by the lake, some mosquitoes. Best time to be there is on a new moon, star gazing is great. Folks said they have seen some bears, none during our visit of three nights. It is dry camping but there is a fill station near the boat ramp and a dump station just before you enter the Meadow campground, $10. A few first come first serve spaces near the boat ramp for RVs only. You park parallel to a sidewalk with a fence/railing on the other side with a great view of the lake, no shade. Quiet days and nights but we were there during the week and kids were back in school. Road from Hwy 50 was just repaved while we were there. Camp sites were repaved 1-2 years ago. Fishing, I tried from the bank two days in a row with power bait and worms, not a bite, I wasn't alone. Bad timing I guess, will try again next spring. We highly recommend Ice House. This was our second trip there, so glad someone told us about it, a hidden gem
