We love it at Ice House. It's clean, well-maintained, spacious, and has gorgeous views with easy access to the water! Such a treat.

Relaxing and quiet vacation at a beautiful mountain lake! Our family had a great stay and appreciate the quiet guests and clean restrooms.

This is a very clean and spacious campground. Plenty of restrooms and drinking water faucets. Very large bear boxes and picnic tables.

Ice House Reservoir is a great camping experience, with newer larger camp sites, and clean well maintaned facilities.

The Ice House campground is beautiful. W e have been coming here for 30+ years. The renovations done a couple years ago have made the whole area easier to access by larger RV's. The sites are big and pretty well spaced apart from each other. Verizon cell service is spotty. Good at the hill tops and bad in the lower areas. Pet friendly campground and beaches. Be aware it is a heavily used for fishing and there can be a lot of hooks and fishing line caught in rocks along the shore.

Great place, bear lockers, well kept and nice hosts. Fishing wasnt great this last trip, but a lot of pressure in the previous week. Highly recommend.

Site 7 is fairly private. Backs up to forest and not far from the water.

Ice House campground is beautiful! Weve been coming here for 30+ years. The renovations from a couple years ago are great. So much improvements on the sites but they retained the beauty and spacing between sites. Camp host was great, polite but enforced the park rules. The outhouses could have used a little more chemical odor control. Thats the only negative.

Beautiful

Clean, well kept sites. Bathrooms were clean. We love this campground. Only downside are the yellowjackets that really aggressively swarm every time you cook or eat. It was really a nuisance the last two summers we went but probably time of year and changes from year to year as well.

Campground was great. Had some issues with unclear restrictions on where we could set up our tents.

This campground was great! This site had a lot of shade, but I would still recommend an easy up for that mid day sun. Extra large site. Super family friendly. The campground host were extremely organized and efficient. They kept the campground clean and enforced quiet hours. The bathrooms were kept nearly spotless, but they have not been emptied in a while, so they were pretty stinky. The bathroom and water are a short walk from the site. And the path to the lake was just a few steps farther.

My family has camped at Icehouse for the last 4 decades. Two years ago they renovated the campgrounds and I must say they did a great job. Everything is graded flat, repaved and widened making it much easier to get trailers and larger RVs into campsites. Boulder loop is our favorite and we enjoy spending the days down at the lake. Water is refreshing and on the weekdays its usually not crowded. Please respect this place we love so much and remember to pack your trash.

Great location to get away from Sac Valley record breaking heat!

my rating is for the campsite as a whole but also the camp host. I would 200% come back here just because the camp host is an angel. campsite is a walk to, but barely. I recommend bringing a cart if you have a lot of stuff to haul for setup. This site was fairly shaded while the two on either side were not and both groups had shade tents set up over either the bear box or the table. This site is really pretty with a distant view of the water. The area for the tent does get some late afternoon/early evening sun though.barely 2 hours into my trip, i cut my finger and the camp host helped me bandage up, told me where the nearest ER was, and checked in on me after I went back to my campsite to call for a ride. when i came back the next day to gather my things, everything was untouched (I did put basically everything in the bear locker but my tent was still up). When I was packing up, the camp host let me know that while this site was reserved for the day, some of the first-come first-serve spots were open. I'd definitely stay at this specific campsite again.I did get some service from T-Mobile while at the campsite, could stream a little bit (sometimes slow) and make texts/calls/check instagram.

The campground and restrooms were very clean. Many campsites had a great view of the lake. The bear boxes are large enough to fit ice chests and dry food.

The bathrooms are kept very clean and bug free. The grounds are neat and tidy. The water is lovely and fairly quiet.

My daughter is not a big fan of lots of bugs in the bathrooms, fortunately these were clean. The water was warm enough to take a dip and cool off in, so bring swim wear.

We love Icehouse Reservoir! The sites, cleanliness, and beauty are superb. Weve never had a problem here. The only reason its not 5 stars is the motorboat activity as our preference is for less of this but we still love the beauty of this space so its worth it!

My family and I have been coming here for years. One of our traditions to go camping in ice house every summer.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
