Clean, quiet, great spacing between sites

This is one very clean campground. Hikes to Bassi Falls and around Loon Lake are close. Camp hosts are great. No motor boats is a plus for kayakers.

Gerle is a friendly campground that is well managed with pit toilets that are maintained by the hosts. Most recently, they have done a better job of managing the parking at the lake with enforcement of the day use fee ($10). All campsites are walkable to the lake unless you are carrying gear.

Great little campground. Many of the sites seem quite spacious and have good privacy. Campground turnoff didn't match what Google maps indicated, so we felt almost lost during our first visit. Pit toilets were clean. A bit of a moist area, so mosquitos were plenty in mid June visit. Although, every visit will be different, we had drunk neighbors parting until 3am. It was really bad. All of our group had a bad night's sleep. Camp host indicated they didn't notice drunkards from their cozy camper. We liked area though, so will likely be back in future. We noticed a number of bee traps, so wonder if they can be an issue at times..

Been camping at Gerle creek for 35 plus years. We have always loved it there and sad to say it’s become a more popular spot now. We loved the improvements over the years. The split rail fencing and path that travels down embankment is really nice. The camp hosts were great. Really helpful and accommodating. We started out with our young kids, and now our camping trips include our grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. We are on our third generation of Gerle Creek campers! Love that the sites are such generous sizes. Everything is neat and clean. Our camp hosts cleaned bathrooms 3 times a day during Covid crisis. Keep up the great work. We will see you again!
