I am glad to see that there are first come first serve sites back this year. With as insane as attempting to camp in the Sierra Nevada was last year, I didn't want to show up with my family and have nothing available, so I booked a site. My thought was that I would be able to switch sites upon arrival if something we liked better was available. Your site says nothing about this not being allowed. Upon arrival, we did find a better site. I was informed that switching the reservation to the different site was not possible. To get the new site, I had to pay $56 cash and was out the $120 I had paid for the other site. Obviously, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. You folks need to fix your site to make this clear or make it clear to camp hosts that this can, in fact, be done. Aside from that, at the direction of the camp host, I parked just my boat trailer near the boat launch and took my truck back to the campsite. I paid $20 cash for two nights to park the trailer, placing the envelope in the appropriate box with the license number to my boat trailer, stating it was a trailer. Not wanting the stub stolen, I kept it with me and still have it. Normally it would be placed on a vehicle dash. I received a notice on my trailer stating that I had not paid, that my information had been collected for billing, and that I needed to pay immediately. Obviously, this left a bad taste in my mouth as well. Your people up there need to get their acts together. I've been camping there for a number of years and have never had the issues there that I did this year.

We loved the camp site! There seems to be a lot of improvements that made the site very easy to access, and enjoy. The problem we had was that the boat launch fee should have been included with the camping fee. That was an unpleasant surprise.
