We have a 10x20" tent for our family, so I avoided the sites that specified "small tent" in their descriptions. The one we ended up with could have accommodated our tent in two different spots, I think. At any rate there was plenty of room. We got there late enough that my husband was setting up with the assistance of the car headlights plus a headlamp that was swarmed by mosquitos and other small insects - but this is by the river, so O well. We just made sure to keep lights off inside the tent until everything was zipped up. Our spot was also only two spots away from the bathrooms, which were clean enough by camping standards and also provided water sources for drinking and washing up.If anyone actually reads these reviews... a note to the conscientious: there are instructions about washing dishes. You're supposed to get water at the tap and then take it back to your site to wash up, and then strain it and throw the solids into the big bins before pouring the grey water into the drain at the foot of the tap. I had no idea and hadn't brought an extra container with me, so I just had to strain my dishwater through a thin towel (NOT a paper towel) right over the drain grate. At least no one else was wanting to wash up just then. The hike along the Green River is fun. We only went a little way because we had lots of short legs and were anxious to get off to the dinosaur fossils, but it was good to explore.

Very large campsite and very clean. Pretty quiet especially at night. Even when it was busy you're not up against neighboring campsites. It's We spent 6 nights there. If you like like hiking, biking, fishing and astrophotography....and also dinosaurs, this is a perfect place! My wife and I road bike and the dinosaur quarry is only 5 miles. You can head the other direction for beautiful views of the river valley for about 2-3 miles or so. The dinosaur museum/quarry is fascinating. The surrounding trails are very well marked and the scenery is amazing. For those fishing I caught a couple channel catfish right there at the campsite! Decent size. Finally for stargazers the area is designated a dark sky park. Looks like about a Bortle 2+ there. Overall very nice and the campers are pretty respectful with respect to outdoor lighting at night. 5 star experience for sure. If you have young kids or even if you don't, you need to go here!

Green River was a decent campground along the river, although access from our campsite was a little difficult. It was a good location for seeing the sights in Dinosaur Natl Monument. I would stay at this campground again.

Great location to access the many Dinosaur NM attractions. Clean flush bathrooms with many shaded sites.

Campsite was right by the river as shown on the maps, great night sky views and sounds. We actually had a bit of trouble sleeping due to the amazing night sky and spotting satellites! Host was very nice and gave some good tips. Campground side of the river has shallow and slow moving water but halfway out the current is strong so watch any kids at play. No showers but does have bathrooms. The campsite worked perfectly for us.

Super cute, but super out in the open with the sun, I recommend bringing a canopy! My man and i got there around 6 and we were dying. But past that, it was such a fun camping trip!

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
