A bit off the beaten path, Perry South was worth the drive. One of the few camp sites along Billy Chinooks shores that offers shade from hot high desert sun. The sites are clean and the camp hosts friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were cleaned and stocked daily. Not all sites are created equal and we found the ones closer to the creek had more usable space than those across the road. The boat launch and complimentary slips are of good construction and well maintained. My only complaint is out of anyone’s control except Mother Nature. The vegetation on the lake bottom was very tall and made putting the boat in and taking it out tricky with an outboard. Overall though, a great stay at Perry South!

We have been coming here for 40 years. PGE has made too many changes! Would like to be able to put 2 campers in a bigger spot, even if we pay double. They need to abide by rules on internet and if someone does not show up for their reserved spot it needs to be forfeited (not doing this even after several days). Need to have more first come first serve in lower loop. Truthfully would like to see it all go back to first come first serve.
