This yurt is next to camp host. She is a nice woman. Our problem was with the camper with the bump out next to yurt (part of camp host property) There was an elderly woman who sat inside and chain smoked nonstop with the window open. When we arrived yurt windows were open and it reeked like cigarette smoke. Couldnt sit at picnic table or around fire pit because that was less than 10 feet from the smoker-camper. It stunk inside, outside, and even after she went to bed you could smell the camper like an ashtray. This needs to be addressed because it will continue to happen to renter after renter of yurt 32. We finally abandoned yurt at 4am and forfeited 3 nights of camping.

Our stay was pleasant.PROS: The yurts now include power, there is an overhead light, an electric wall heater, and 2 outlets to plug into for power - which is nice, previously these were rustic. We recommend the 4 mile hike that goes around the lake. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked.CONS: This yurt is right next to the Camp Host site, so it had significantly less room outside than the other two yurts due to the close proximity of the neighboring site/RVs, which were right next to our fire pit and picnic table. There was constant cigarette smoke wafting over from the RV while we were there. The other two yurts had a much larger area to hang out in. TONS of mosquitoes at the end of May in the early AM and evenings.

The yurt was fun. The electric heater kept the room temperature reasonable but to be truly warm a fire was needed. It is requested that wood is not brought in from out of the area, but no dry wood is provided. Our only complaint was that my son's yurt lock box did not work which prevented him from accessing his yurt until we found a number to call in our yurt. Of course, there was no cell service at the yurts.

The yurts were great! Campground was clean and quiet at night. Easy access to the lake and the lodge on the other side of Suttle lake for some fun entertainment

I wish I had more to say here but unfortunately I was unable to have any experience at all. My girlfriend and I scheduled one night here as an early valentines day getaway. The day before my scheduled one night stay at one of these yurt's, I received a confirmation email with a padlock code for me to access the yurt. When I got there, I went up and attempted the code in the padlock... but the lock wouldn't open. I tried the combination every way possible but unfortunately, nothing I tried would work. I double checked I was at the right one, and even tried the code on the other two Yurts at the campsite. Still nothing. At this point I called Recreation.gov to ask if maybe there was a mistake, and they gave me a phone number for the site manager. I called that number, just to find out the phone connected to that number isn't monitored throughout the winter?? After realizing that I had no way to contact the site manager, I called Recreation.gov again and asked for a refund. They were very nice and apologetic about my experience and submitted a refund request to the site manager with a short note explaining that I was not able to access the yurt and therefore wanted a refund. The next day, my refund request was DENIED with no further explanation. I called again and was simply given an excuse that they can't refund me without property managers approval. What a complete joke. Do not book here unless you're looking to throw away your money. I am normally an extremely patient person, and I understand that there was probably some simple mistake that was completely unintentional, but at least have the decency to pay a refund. I was robbed of $60 and all that I got was a ruined valentines day getaway.

Toilets were cleaned daily. Host was friendly and helpful. Sites were clean. No trash. There was just enough wood to start the stove. Stove had tools including hot glove and hot coal bucket. Fire ring also had block of wood for splitting your wood on.

Great yurt experience

The yurt and campground were lovely, clean, and quiet on a November weekend. The one downside is that the wood stove is quite small, not the larger ones I'm used to seeing. It was difficult to make a fire big enough to maintain itself for long, and we had to tend the fire ever 60-90 minutes all night to stay warm enough. Fun, but definitely a lot of work!

Link Creek is to close to Highway 20! Too loud from traffic, especially truck noise. I will not stay there another time.

What a fantastic winter getaway! At the time of this review, typing “Link Creek Campground” into Apple Maps will not take you to the correct location. Google Maps, however, will get you to where you need to go. The yurt is very spacious and has a bunk bed (a full mattress on bottom and a twin mattress on top), a futon, a coffee table, and a small dining table with two chairs. The wood stove heats the yurt within an hour, but it is on the smaller side so make sure you bring something to cut down any firewood to fit. The campground bathrooms were unlocked and useable during our stay in mid-December. There is a fire pit and a picnic table right outside the yurt. I have AT&T and there was no service inside the yurt, but I was able to get an occasional bar or two when I stepped outside. The closest town is Sisters which is approximately 20 minutes away and has lots of small businesses and shops if you need any supplies. There is no electricity inside the yurt so don’t forget your own lighting source(s). Overall, this was an amazing spot to spend a few nights and I can’t recommend it enough.

Nice enough. We stayed in a yurt. I wish there was power and I wish there was a shower. These are available at Nehalem Bay. Why not here. Camp host was kind of a crab.

The yurts were really nice and we even got snow when we were here. The host left wood at the door for us before we checked in which was greatly appreciated as what we brought wouldn't have lasted us both nights in the wood stove
