Yurt was great! Warm, even on a snowy night, and beds were very comfy!

That side of the lake is so quiet in the winter, and with only three yurts there it feels like a real getaway. Walk on over to the lodge for some good (expensive) drink and food or go spend the day at Hoodoo!

Loved it, great camp host very personable. Only 1 complaint, mosquitoes.

Snow was so deep we had to park at the entrance of the campground and walk to the yurt. Also, the wood stove seemed to not be airtight, and lots of smoke came out the back of the stove until it heated up. Other than that, the yurt was great and warm once the fire was going well.

We loved the yurt. We were a little surprised to discover that the campground is not plowed, and the yurt was a short jaunt through the snow. Finding the yurt was a fun challenge, since we arrived after dark. The wood stove works well, remember to bring firewood and lights.

Campground was very nice and well maintained. We rented a yurt and it would have worked out well, but smoke from forest tires made it unbearable. We had to leave after one night.

Be warned this yurt is very old and you may be visited by mice when it gets cold and you have the wood stove going. Please work on refreshing these yurts. It's otherwise a nice location. Cell reception barely usable outside the yurt, but not usable inside.

Fantastic winter getaway that is so close to Hoodoo, Santiam Pass and it is right by the Suttle Lake Lodge and Resort (easy walk around the lake for cocktails and food).

The yurt was just as expected/described but I would recommend bringing way more firewood than you would expect. The site indicates that you can buy wood from the camp host but there was no camp host or place to buy wood when I was there (I suspect they should update the site to indicate there is no wood available in the winter) and the closest place to get some is Sisters. I stayed for 3 nights and was out during much of the day and went through 9 bundles of wood. The wood fired stove is small so it's hard to get it to build a good fire that will keep going and you will need to wake up every 2-3 hours throughout the night to add wood and stoke the fire or you will wake up cold as it loses heat pretty quickly.

The bathrooms were clean, close to the yurts and had toilet paper!!

You need to bring your own firewood as there is none for sale on site or close by. It is a roughly 14 inch deep woodstove so don't bother bringing 16 inch it will not fit properly. The place is beautiful and the trail around the lake is a must. Definetly will go back. This is not for glampers go to a deluxe yurt somewhere else for that😊

Fantastic trip out to Link Creek. A bit windier on the lodge side than we expected, but the boat launch area by the campgrounds was calm. Scout Lake was a nice little swimming hole for the kids, and it's close enough to Clear Lake to shoot over there if anything is off at Suttle with the weather. We were next to a giant family that was loud and partying, but at the same time they shut things down at around 10:30 so it wasn't like it was unbearable. Camp host Leia helped tend to one thing we had happen and was great. Great spot and fits us well. We'll be back!!

The yurts are great! Each one has enough room for 4 people easily maybe even 5. They were within walking distance to the lake so we could easily transport our SUP boards. Plenty of tree cover for shade and a picnic table and fire pit at each yurt. My only complaint really is that there were several overfilled garbage cans that weren't able to completely shut around the site which gave off a foul scent. We also had dinner at the boathouse at the lodge across the lake but its about a 1.5 mile walk so def worth it to drive. Overall a great experience! Coming back in October!

We had never been camping in a yurt before, or in the winter either. Not only do we love camping at Link Creek in the summer, but Wow! What an absolutely beautiful place to be in the winter time. So peaceful, and having a cozy wood stove to warm up to made it that much better. Seeing the stars through the skylight in the roof was the cherry on top of a great experience!

Went at end of November. Got snow. Let me tell ya, with firewood and a yurt this place is beautiful! No matter which way I looked when kayaking on the lake, there was a beautiful view. Recommend you bring firewood no longer than 12in in length or it won't fit in wood stove. This place was magical for us. Plan on going each year. Probably again this year.
Highly recommend!

Link creek is our favorite place to camp. I would love to see hand sanitizer in the bathrooms and we sadly had a couple of things stolen, but that is our own fault!

Beautiful campsite! We loved that there are a variety of things to do here and places to explore. Also close enough to the Suttle Lake Lodge for kayak/paddle board rentals and the restaurant if needed.
