Camp ground was nice and I enjoyed the lake. However, bathroom was broken for the men and the other bathrooms were constantly dirty. Only ever saw the park host in the morning.

This is a beautiful campground with nice facilities and the convenience of the store down the hill. It used to be one of my favorite places. I was able to reserve my favorite site, #10. All was well until a young fellow pretty obviously flying as high as a kite pulled into #11 about 6 p.m. with bass thumping from his car. It stayed on while he set up camp. I politely asked him to turn it down, which he did and then turned it back up 15 minutes later. A request from another camp site produced the same result. Since no camp host appeared to be present I had little confidence that things would quiet down at 10 p.m. per the rules. So I pulled down my tent and through all my gear in my rig and drove away at 9 p.m. while it was still light, giving up the money for my 2-night reservation. Rude people have made public campgrounds a real crapshoot and the rising prices make me less and less willing to take a chance on them unless an active campground host is present to deal with situations like this. Deschutes Recreation or whoever runs this site should take note.
