We have camped here for a several years. We were told, ahead of time, there is a water “outage”, bring all the water you need. All the water spigots were wrapped and not in use. I thought it odd that the toilets in the day use area were able to flush, but the toilets in the campground did not and we’re closed. I checked the water at these wrapped spigots, the water worked just fine! I can’t tolerate being lied to. I’m an adult, if you wanted to close the water for the season, then say that. DON’T LIE! Such B.S.

Normally we would rate our annual trip as very good or excellent but this year we had some unexpected surprises. We love camping at South Twin but we were disappointed to arrive and find the water spigots covered and the flush toilets closed. An e-mail wasn’t sent out notifying us about the water situation until the 4th day of our trip. We spoke to a Hoodoo employee who was very nice as he explained the issue to us. I think posting the same information on the campground bulletin board would help people be more compliant with not using the spigots.
Water issue aside, South Twin will be our go to place for many years to come. Love the lake, the spacious sites, the Twin Lakes Resort within walking distance, just can’t beat it.

We had a great time on the water in our Kayaks. Easy access to the water. Very peaceful campground
