Despite the initial challenges with our reservation, we found the campsite itself to be quite pleasant. The grounds were well-maintained, offering a serene and picturesque environment. The facilities were clean and conveniently located, enhancing our overall camping experience. The natural beauty of the area provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation and outdoor activities. We appreciated the tranquility and the opportunity to connect with nature during our stay.

Campground pretty beat out but in beautiful location. Urinal in Men’s restroom did not flush. Fish cleaning house open but water not working. Thus filthy. U.S. Forest Service really needs to reinvest to bring these facilities back up to standard with fully systems operating. If it weren’t such a beautiful place it would be really disappointing. Sad to see facilities continue to decline in condition.

Looking at all the other sites we did like this site. Other sites were out in the open with no trees to separate campers. This one was the best of what I saw. There was a walking path behind it that went to the boat ramp and a lot of people used it so it was weird sitting around the fire and having people walk by 15 feet away. We ended up putting our clothesline between some trees and hanging a tarp and we had instant privacy. Also being close to the ramp if you are tent camping you can hear all the fisherman at 5am launching and starting their boats. Early wake up because of that. It’s great to have running water in the bathrooms and they were very clean. This had an asphalt pull through and was pretty flat. Others were dirt and rocks. Ours was only long enough for one car with a trailer and we had a second car so we had to park our extra car elsewhere. Pretty nice site though.

Beautiful Lake. Clean campgrounds. Only one bathroom for the entire campground? The lower campground is convenient if you have a boat to launch. If not, I recommend booking the campground more east and closer to the Hotsprings as it is quieter with better views of the lake. Beautiful area!
