Great campground, the weather was a bit brisk the first two days, but we had firewood and a great view, (when we could see it through the fog off the lake. It was BRISK! Got to shorts and T-shirt weather by mid week, at least for a few hours each day. Plenty to do in the area, Paulina Falls, Lava Beds, Paulina Peak, fishing, hiking, and just sitting and relaxing.

Beautiful setting. The first three days had brief afternoon thunderstorms, the associated clouds made for gorgeous sunsets. Plenty do do or see in the area, hiking Little Crater Trail, or around the lake, the rugged Big Obsidian Flow or the majestic views from Paulina Peak. Of course there is always relaxing in camp and enjoying the view. Fishing was good a couple days, other days I just practiced casting. A bit of early morning traffic to the boat ramp, but the birds started announcing the day about the same time. There were some skeeters, so bring bug juice.

Love how spaced out the campsites are and the close proximity to the lake. Lake is a little "yucky" for swimming, but we did go in. Camp host was kind and the place has a great vibe. Lots of natural beauty surrounds.

Fantastic campground. Sites are very well spaced and huge, its very quiet, with such beautiful views. Hosts are available but not intrusive. There is a nice boat launch in the campground and hiking trailheads conveniently located in the campground. My only complaint would be the lack of shower facilities and the vault toilets, which I was aware of theyre just not my favorite amenity.

Beautiful spot! Our site was #5 which was right on the lake and conveniently across from the bathroom ( just a pit toilet )We loved morning coffee by the lake and hiking to the hot springs. The hike was easy enough for my 8 year old son to do a few times.Campsites are very roomy, you dont feel on top of your neighbors. I really hope to return again next summer!

Amazing waterfront campaigns, easy firewood access, and a helpful campsite host. 10 outta 10.
Beautiful campground with access to lake, great view and make sure you check out the night sky.

Lots of things to do while you are camping there. The sites are all located close to the lake for great viewing. If you go you must make the trip to the natural hot springs that are at the north side of the lake.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
