Two or three large ponderosa pines had been cut down and just left on the campsite. What a mess! Hoping they will be removed eventually, because it only left a small area (by the road) to place our tent. The sites aren't very private and the camp hosts evidently don't enforce the quiet time rules as there were about 15 people in two sites across from us partying well into the night. :(

LOVE this camp ground. We were able to make a last minute reservation and snag a spot. We ultimately came for the hot springs, but this is such a perfect camp ground being right on the lake. Can’t wait to come back here.

This is an especially peaceful place as long as your neighbor is not running a generator all day.

This is a beautiful campground on a enchanting lake. Try not to get a site near the restrooms though. Smelly! Be sure to do the hike around the lake which is about 7 miles of mostly flat. If you go counter clockwise the hardest part, the obsidian fields, is first and it gets easier after that.
