All the boat launches have become unusable with the low water conditions over the years. The main launch at Cinder Hill needs to be extended by 20 feet so it will be usable for the next 30+ years.
The limited generator use policy for half the camp is unnecessary. The new generation generators create minimum noise and can only be heard at only very close distances. This park is at 6400 feet and the temperatures got down to 35 degrees multiple nights and the older campers need to keep their trailers in the 50 degree range which requires battery charging for up to 6 hours. If this new policy was really needed then the entire campground and all the surrounding campgrounds would have this policy in place. At least two camps were ignoring this policy and running their generators throughout the day and no one was concerned so next year I'd expect an increase in generator use all day.
