Everyone had a great time! Close to the lake, tons of wildlife, and the showers were clutch. Bring quarters!

Nice site with paved driveway. This is one of our favorite campgrounds. I recommend keeping a good number of sites for first come first serve at this campground.

What an awesome campground on the shores of East Lake! We had site #57 and were just enough off the water that we didn't get the lake shore breeze, but were still within walking distance of a boat ramp and beach access. Camp hosts were friendly and available, neighbors were spread out and distanced by trees - I would definitely recommend this site to friends!

We have been visiting Cinder Hill campground for several years now. We always reserve the same camp site. We have enjoyed interesting variations in weather such as the low 30s with snow in late June, though most years very comfortable temperatures and minimum insects. The managers of the site -- both those that worked for the former contractor -- Hulu -- and the Forest Service employees that we encountered in August 2019 have been very helpful, polite and just very nice people. The only time our stay was not as pleasurable was 2017 or 2018 -- I cannot remember which -- when there were several major forest fires burning in the area. This resulted in a very smoky atmosphere. I don'dt know if the smoky atmosphere caused it, but the temperature was higher and more uncomfortable that it had been during any previous visits. Of course, neither of these unpleasant situations reflect on the management of the camp site.
