Campground was nice, and was very convenient to be so close to the resort shop and restaurant. Parking fees were my only issue with the stay. Online the extra vehicle charge said $5 per night, but was $10 when we arrived. The card payment machine broke and charged my friend twice, with no pass printing. The camp host was a bit of a grump about it, and said we must pay with cash instead and go find an atm. Ended up paying 35 dollars between cash and card charges for the two nights extra vehicle that was expected to be $10 total. Would have been nice to have some more understanding and empathy from the camp host about the situation. Just bring cash for extra vehicles in case, not worth the hassle.

Only one out of three restrooms in our section of the camp was working during our stay. Otherwise things in camp were pretty OK. Our campsite was big enough and nice. There were some noisy campers, but mostly quiet at night. Showers at the Resort RV camp were great, with a very helpful host there.Certainly still a lovely lake, although there are now some relatively large boats on the lake and not all of them obeyed the 10 MPH speed limit, making canoeing more challenging. The hike up to the top of Cinder Hill was a good workout, and the view from the top is spectacular.We met the one ranger now working at Newberry Monument. She was very friendly and helpful. And we had a great time talking with other campers at the Paulina Lake hot springs.
