This was a great place to camp, the ground was churned up soft, the accommodations were clean and lovely. Ranger Lisa is great. My vacation was very nice because of Furnace Creek .

We selected our tent site using the campground map provided on recreation.gov, and the location was as expected -- towards the edge and with some degree of privacy. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of vegetation surrounding our site, though other sites were nearby. The ground where we placed our tent was so soft -- apparently from recent rains -- that we had to tamp it down and still our camp chairs sank into the sand. For both of the nights we camped at Furnace Creek (second week of April), there were strong winds from the north, which were a bit challenging for situating our tent and keeping our supplies from blowing around. I wish the photos of individual sites provided on the recreation.gov site better illustrate the specific features of each site. I find that they tend to look alike. The campground is well maintained; the bathhouse and outdoor dishwashing sinks are clean as are the camp sites. The campground is in a good location in the Furnace Creek area, near the very good visitor center and other resources.

Finding the general store (in the ranch )was not easy. Firewood was very expensive.

Sweet little campsite. More privacy from other campsites than I expected. Plenty of space, a table, and fire pit with grill top that saved us when our camping stove didnt work. Nice bathroom!

Great location for the must-see sections of the valley

It was very good. Water and a restroom were near. The ground was sandy and flat, which made it easy to install a tent. But no electricity and internet connection.

Arrived mid-afternoon and had no problem checking in. COVID procedures were in place talking to the ranger at the check-in booth and I knew exactly where my site was thanks to their map. Site was clean and well maintained (or as best as possible in the Mojave Desert's harsh environment). Easy to return to camp from a day's activities, but most things will be a drive away (with the exception of the Visitor Center, the Furnace Creek Resort area, and a bit of a walk to the Borax Works). Nice to have dishwashing stations in nearly every loop of the campground! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Park! Great center point for activities and explorations in any given direction!

The campsite wasn’t quite the location we selected based on the map so we got a site that wasn’t where we expected (site numbers may have been incorrectly labeled online). Aside from that the site was nice and clean. The campground was fine, not extraordinary but not bad either.

Love this place. Clean bathrooms, good ground for pitching a tent and beautiful night skies. This review is probably 4.5 stars, not a true 5 because there is a lot of noise early in the morning from a nearby site... lots of trucking noises, something like that. But overall it was a fabulous experience.
