The campground has some excellent sites, but the reservation system is cumbersome and inefficient. Many of the sites were reserved but vacant when we stayed in the campground. The campground was "closed" since all sites were reserved, and we needed to stay in 3 different sites during our 4-night stay. I suggest offering people with reservations full refunds when they cancel in order to encourage people to do so. This will free up unused sites for those of us who actually want to camp.

Clean bathrooms, a sink to do dishes in, and spacious campsites.

I loved the walk in camp sites 126-130. It was protected from the wind and the trees offered some shade for tents. Was a great experience.

There ARE sinks to wash your dishes outside thr restrooms. Restrooms are good and are not vault toilets. Parking is not far from the campsites. Be prepared to bring enough lights because it's pitch black at night.

The check in process was easy and the campground kiosk employee was super friendly. The walk in campsite was easy to get to and the table was fairly clean upon arrival. The restrooms were a good walk from the walk in sites, further than most campsites I've stayed at in National Parks. The garbage bins were also even further away. I would assume that dispersing the garbage bins more evenly throughout the campground would encourage a cleaner campsite especially for walk in campers who must carry everything. A positive: it was an easy walk to the visitors center from our campsite as well as the Ranch hotel complex.

We stayed at site #31 for 3 days and 2 nights. However, the woman's restroom was out order on the first evening when we arrived. It was a little bit inconvenient. Luckily, it was finally fixed in the next afternoon! Overall, we had a great time staying. Thank you!

To be careful in booking a site in this campground. Some sites are completely expose the DV's relentless sun, wind and sand. Also you should be aware that this campground is very crowded, but fortunatley the tent sites do not have to share the same loop at the RVs (and there were some there that were larger than my house- i'm not kidding.) Even with a boy scout troop and lots of families (and too many dogs) the campers were mostly quiet. The same cannot be said for the airport next door. There campground is quite close to a developed area of DV with hotels, shops and restaurants, so there is a bit of traffic in and light pollution in the general area. Access to water isn't great and there are a lot of restrictions about how the bathrooms and outdoor dishwashing area can be used as well as disposal of any dish or bathing water you may use in your campsite. The way the parking is set up and dependin on your site, you will most likely be temporarily blinded by cars pulling into the parking area. If i was going back to DV, I'd try to find another campground or be very selective about the site. (Also, I was informed that the women's restroom was out of TP - which considering the TP there might have been a blessing for your bum - and the toliets didn't all work. )

Very clean and the camp hosts were great. Great location to have as home base and then go for adventures from there.

Campground is great but unfortunately loud noise beginning at 6 am from the nearby construction at Furnace Creek Ranch was very disruptive. Recommend staying far away from this campground until construction at Furnace Creek is done. Further, at some sites there is intrusive unshielded lighting at night from NPS facility adjacent to campground. It is odd that the site doesn't mitigate it's light exposure since the Park is pushed as a Dark Sky location for sky watching.

I had a very spacious campsite, the bathrooms were clean and the outdoor sinks were awesome. There is access to clean water at the campground and a general store is not too far. I had enough cell service for calls and texts but not for streaming.
