Campground is very clean and its proximity to the visitor center is very convenient especially during a dark sky night program.,

Campsite was very nice but the facilities are lacking. There are no trash cans by the outside sinks where everyone washes their plates so no place to dump food waste. Also, put hooks in the bathroom to hang towels while washing or changing clothes.

The walk in sites were only 25% occupied during my visit in January. I had one of the few quasi-private sites. I would be less enthusiastic about camping there during peak season as there just isn't much privacy (as there are very few trees). Having said that, the night sky was amazing!

The campground was very nice. Lake Manly was pretty.

We stayed in a tent only. We had an amazing time. Everyone was kind and respectful. We weren't too far from the bathroom which were mostly upkept throughout our entire stay but there were times were 2/3 toilets were clogged. The nightsky is... i have no words to describe it you'll just have to see it for yourself!

This was one of the best trips we've ever taken! Death Valley has so much to offer, from salt flats and sand dunes to slot canyons and high peaks. We did some of everything and still wish we'd had a few more days! One of the best mornings we spent was wandering through the Joshua Trees at Lee Flats - thanks to the tip from the ranger in the visitor center, who said this was one of his favorite spots. It turned out to be one of ours, too!

It was pretty easy, actually. There was one hiccup and that was that the credit card processing for the Death Valley entrance couldn't be processed. I went to the Ranger down the road and took care of that. Other than that it was clean, it was easy!

Close to many trails. Nice campground. Appreciated the toilets and drinking water!

If you're staying in a tent, try to get a site in the tent-only category if you can. You get a little more open space per campsite.
