We were in Group #5 and loved the spot. We didn't need shade, but for those who do, there was a fair amount at this site. Some good flat ground. We had 2 8-person tents and one 6-person tent and didn't have an issue. Water isn't super close, unless the RV spots right across the street are unoccupied. The bathrooms are down the way, but not terrible, and they were clean. No showers.

Great visit. Park did a very good job. All facilities were very clean in spite of the strong winds and large crowds for the weekend. They even issued me a new park pass when I explained that mine blew out the door when I opened it in the wind storm.
Good

Had a large camping spot with some shade. All in all, nothing to complain about.

Clean restroom. Close by to visitor center. Has sink to wash dishes that is also drinking water.

The campground is great; clean, spacious, not too close to other sites. We did tent camping in group site #5 Close to Furnace Creek visitor center (walking distance close). Only downside we had is that the bathrooms are a bit far. FYI showers available at stove pipe and the ranch at Death Valley ($14/person) November was a perfect month to visit.

Clean well maintained facility. Great rangers to help out. Loved every minute in the park! Wish we had stayed more than one night

Very good location and clean bathrooms. You can do shower at the Furnace creek ranch.Prepare for the high wind.
We had a lot of fun. This camp ground was more crowded than I expected - the individual lots were small. Lots of shade trees around the perimeter. Amazing visitor center and Jr. ranger program set up. Make sure you get gas/fill up before you get too deep into area as the one gas station outside the camp ground ran out of gas. I might even take surplus gas next time I visit just in case. It’s very easy to drive many many miles in this park. Also, maybe sure you have everything you need (food, drinks, supplies, etc.), as the General Store outside campground is very limited (although they have amazing souvenirs and t shirts),
Bring your own firewood from home?! There wasn't any available for sale within the park boundary during our visit. We were trying to buy local as to not spread any problems from afar, but were left without a way to make a fire - unless we wanted to drive to (maybe!) Pahrump an hour away to find some firewood.

The Park Service should update their campground rules to include: "Please respect others, who come to the desert for quiet. No raucous partying is allowed at any time. All celebrations should be muted, and over by 10 pm."We were the unfortunate neighbors of a group that insisted on loudly partying both Friday and Saturday.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
