My wife and I spent 3 days/nights at Furnace Creek in different sites. The campground was not completely full but there were some open sites on most evenings. There is ZERO signal in the campground. We did get WIFI from the nearby Visitor Center which was very good most times but you could not wander very far without losing the signal. No fault to the park but... the downside... the heat. The last day we were there it was 100+. Without electric... at times it was tough getting away from the heat. We left one day early.... The park is amazing and HUGE. Drove all over with some incredible views. As for the campground... staff was very good and campground and restrooms were very clean. Cleaning stations for "dishes" and such was great. But no showers.... Dump Station was great and so was the water to fill our tank when we left.

Overall the campground is pretty well kept and close to the store, definitely one of the busier sites (this is not one if you are looking for solace and silence). HOWEVER we stayed at site 113 which is directly in front of an entrance to a pathway to the store so we had people/kids CONSTANTLY walking and whizzing by on bikes through our campsite. The site has zero shade and the nearest bathrooms only 1/3 of the stalls have a functioning door. There was no hand soap in the restroom either. Luckily there is a water station nearby and the visitor center is a quick walk over. We encountered no issues with any noise pollution from generators at night.

Very friendly staff. Bathrooms could have been cleaner and better maintained.

Furnace Creek CG is best of all campgrounds in the area for all it offers and amenities nearby.

There were no showeers and no Wi-Fi.
You had to go to the Hotel and pay $ 4.95 per hour and also pay for the shower !

That was unbelievable .........................

Beautiful spot, why not rent site #53, why keep site 2 nights for no show? Campground shows sold out but sites unoccupied everynight. Poor inventory management. Wifi would be appreciated.

Stayed mid April 2021 - temps in the high 90s during the afternoon- very little wind. Campsite was large enough to drive through with a trailer. Shade would have been ideal but that was noted on the website. campground was clean, bathrooms were clean. No showers as noted on the website however also none open anywhere around (due to Covid), which is not great after hiking. Place to wash your dishes and some of the sites have full hook-ups, but are very hard to reserve. Location is great- walk to the visitors center/gas station in furnace creek. Many popular attractions within a 30 minute drive.

We were near the foot / bike path and sometimes that was bothersome. On the other hand we weren't in the parking lots stripped for RVs and tents.

Excellent location in the park and very well maintained facilities. The campsite is all gravel so make sure to bring a mat if you are in a tent. It can also get loud because there are so many RV's in such a small space. That being said, it offers a wonderful base of operations for your Death Valley trip.

What an amazing painting in geology death valley is. Artists palette, Dantes view, hiking from Zabrieski point and the Borax museum at the Ranch were all five star. Pray for no wind.
