The Furnace Creek campground was very nice and lots of sites are level for RV's. Restrooms were clean. The Visitors Center is a short walk along the highway. We visited in January and enjoyed the cool weather and no crowds!

it was pretty good. the camps had all necessary facilities: clean toilets, appropriate lightings, water supplies and trash disposal. This was our first camping experience and we loved it.

Level site. Most sites well spaced. Multiple flush bathrooms around grounds. No hookups. Roaming 3G Verizon & Tmobile. Beautiful setting in Death Valley.

The campground at Furnace Creek had a small space and I was not allowed to park my truck off the asphalt. I moved the next day across to Sunset Campground which is all gravel, has a dump station and very few people and the view was fantastic. I don't know what the difference is parking on the gravel at Furnace Creek vs the all gravel campground at Sunset. Furnace Creek gas station was charging $6.70 for regular gas and Stovepipe Wells 22 miles away charged only $4.88. The park should prohibit the vendors from such highway robbery. I enjoyed the park and it was a beautiful place.

Great hikes in Sidewinder Canyon, Golden Canyon, and Dante View Ridge Trail to Perry Mountain.
Marathon through Titus Canyon was spectacular.

Clean facilities, clean sites, and located right in the middle of all of the places I wanted to see. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was packed with campers but amazingly quiet during "quiet-time" park hours. There were a few generators running during much of the rest of the time.

If you want to avoid the generators and enjoy a more scenic choice for the same price or less, try Texas Spring Campground. It's about 1/2 a mile south of Furnace Creek and has most of the same amenities plus no generators allowed--AND it sits up above and has great views. Texas Spring is the campground I'll return to when I pass that way again.
