Sites were basic and good. Hard to get additional nights when no cell service in Death Valley!

The 61 site is close to the neighboring campsite, so if you want more privacy, consider bringing a canopy with side walls. Overall, its a nice spot, but a little extra setup can make a difference.

The campground is a bit on the rough side, as is the case with all of Death Valley, but SO FUN! We met a lot of nice folks here, had decent access to bathrooms with running water, flush toilets, nearby area for dish washing etc. The campground has a cooperative arrangement with Death Valley Ranch in Furnace Creek for access to pool and showers (and very cool Borax museum) for a reasonable cost ($14).

The campground is always clean and the facilities are well maintained. And the Visitor Center is right next door!

We were at Furnace Creek for 6 dayswhen reserving on Recreation.gov I did not see anything about needed to put the combined total of truck and trailer.so we could not park our tow vehicle at the site. Also, we did not see that all tires have to be on pavement. These things need to be more clear. Our Airstream barely fit in our site. Also the dump station was closed so we had to go to the one by Sunset Campground. Other than the above, we had a great time in Death Valley and the campground is nice despite the small sites.

Campsites are too close, with no wind breaks. Very hard large gravel ground unsuitable for tents, broke two stakes. Camp host was really noisy, but didn't help with problem behavior of other guests. Way overpriced, I won't be staying there again.

I felt all the staff in the kiosk seemed very detached and uninterested any time we interacted with them.

There were no showers.

This was one of the loudest campgrounds I've ever visited. People would arrive after midnight and set up camp and not even pretend to try and be quiet about it. RV's would run generators from the second it was allowed in the morning all day until the cutoff time at night. Don't get me started on the screaming, unattended children. Also had the pleasure of camping next to an RV that had a Lab puppy that barked non stop when left alone... so when they would leave to go have dinner at night, I got to listen to their dog bark non stop for several hours while they were gone. Also got to witness two dog fights. The campground was tidy, was conveniently located within the park, and bathrooms were always clean and well stocked, but the sinks for washing dishes would routinely get clogged and back up because folks would dump food waste in the sinks.I will NEVER camp here again (as a tent camper, probably quieter in an RV).
