Beautiful campground and National Park. Some roads closed due to flooding, but the rain made the desert bloom.

We would recommend to the following activities:- Badwater Basin - we hiked 2 miles out on the basin. On the way to or from the Basin check out the crystals at the Devils Golf Course.- Zabriskie Point - note there are two parking entrances at different ends. We highly recommended the hike from the viewpoint parking off Hwy 190. If you choose to do the 3 mile hike you will love the views from both the high and low points. Check out the Red Pillars that are another .5 miles. Recommend hiking boots.- Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes - a great adventure out on some amazing, high sand dunes. Beautiful views for great camera memories.- Ubehebe Crater - a long ride well worth the trip. Allow time to hike the rim and into the crater.

Rather exposed campsites without a lot of privacy, but adequate considering where you are. Reasonably quiet, bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Buy your firewood outside the park, pretty pricey at the nearest store

Nice clean campground. Dish washing station was helpful. Wish there were shower facilities on site, but the Oasis at Death Valley had great pool with hot showers for $15/day.

Stayed at site 37 for 3 nights early January and it was perfect for us! Temps ranged from 68 to 37 degrees with mod. UV index (I run warm and prefer the cold). Mid-February jumps to 73-48-ish with mod-hi UV index. The grounds are spacious, and our site had some afternoon shade directly behind our parking spot. The restrooms were also behind our space, separated by a line of shrubby trees, which provided just enough privacy from other restroom visitors but close enough to use the facilities at a moments notice. Restrooms only have toilet paper and hand sanitizer, along with running water and flush toilets. Water facilities were 1 site away and very very close. Site ground was rocky but we had no problem setting up our tent with stakes with the help of our rubber hammer. Site 37 gets to see the rising sun, and a beautiful mountain scene. Our previous site here (78) faced the setting sun with an equally stunning view of the park. No winds in January so tent camping was peaceful, and grounds visitors during this time know etiquette. Short walk over to the Furnace Creek Visitors Center as well. Staff was friendly and answered questions. Their educational features are engaging and interactive. Even watched the short 18-minutes film, very nice! We somehow always camp during the Boy Scouts convention and we love it. It's good to hear the kids & parents excited about being outside and learning, their camaraderie, and I profess feeling a little safer with them all around us :) Hosts ensure the grounds are clean and help to keep the grounds safe to their abilities. Saw them making them rounds consistently throughout the day. Rangers also came by to clean the amenities, round of applause to all these unsung heroes. Highly recommended. Thanks DVNP!

Even though, some of the attractions of the park were closed due to road washout. Most of the park was open to everyone. It was very enjoyable.

Wish there were showers and wifi. Very little amenities for $22/night. Yosemite charges $10/night and they have hot showers and heated bathrooms.

Nice campground with level sites. We were unable to have the same site for multiple nights so had to leave the campground, park in the overflow lot across the street, then check back in and go to the new site. Would have been nice to have one check in, especially when the office hours are only 9:00 - 4:30. Were are usually gone before 9 and sometimes not back until after 4:30. Other places will have our check-in documents sitting out for us to pick up if we arrive after hours. Also seemed odd to have a small tent on a full hookup site when we couldnt get a hook up site for our RV.

The campsite is nice however. It is very rocky and hard to get your tent stakes drove into the ground highly recommend you bring a hammer. It was very windy in fact in the whole valley there was a sandstorm the day I got there so maybe it was just a coincidence. But overall very clean and good experience.

Nice location with some shade. Close to bathrooms and dish washing station.

The campground is central to everything in the park. Our sites were clean and positioned excellently. The tree line gave shade in the late afternoon and a windbreak. (But the wind never came out of the west...) Very disappointed the dump station was closed for another consecutive year (what's are dollar going towards...). The bathroom cleaning schedule was disappointing and I only saw maintenance once in an 8 day visit. The Mrs said the women's bathroom was a bit disguishing and thank goodness we had a coach. I do have to say the Hosts were nice and attentive. We love the Park and will be returning!

Incredibly and uncomfortably windy when I visited in mid-November. Temps were fantastic! Didn't really need a sleeping bag in my tent because it was so hot. We hiked Desolation Canyon early the next morning before jetting back to the central CA coast and would highly recommend this hike and starting by 7 AM.

As a family, we were surprised by how much we enjoyed being in Death Valley. Absolutely wonderful experience in the park exploring and camping at Furnace Creek.
