We had an amazing three-night stay at Furnace Creek. I loved that the Visitor's Center was right there, which allowed us to walk over for a Junior Ranger ceremony in the morning. It was also walkable to the resort next door that has a well-stocked general store (including ice, one review said it didn't have ice but it does, at least during the winter it does. Our spot was a nice one (#23) right across from the bathroom. We brought our regular tent and used our truck-top tent for sleeping. The spaces were sizable and even though our neighbors were close, everyone was quiet and respectful. We will definitely book a winter trip to Furnace Creek again.

Washrooms (toilets) are filthy and smelly, maintenance is sub-par

Nice, open and level space. I'm often leery of getting a site so close to restrooms as people tend to walk through campsites as shortcuts, but this was never an issue during my stay. Tent stakes were a bit difficult to drive into the ground, however there may have been better spots to pitch the tent. I can't really complain, either, because once the stakes were in, they stayed (it was dark and quite windy when we arrived, so the decision was to get the tent up asap instead of finding the ideal placement).

We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed our campsite. Quiet, clean, close bathrooms (flush) and easy all to visitors center. We would definitely stay again during the cooler months.

We camped in site #23 (no hookup) with our tent trailer for a couple nights. The site was fine. There isn't much privacy at Furnace Creek but the way this site was situated we didn't feel like people were right on top of us. They could definitely add some amenities to Furnace Creek to make it better. They could add some showers. They'll tell you that you can shower (for a fee) at the resort next door but we found that they weren't allowing non-guests to use their facilities when we were there. We could rent a room/cabin but otherwise no go. They could also add a soap dispenser and a hand dryer to the bathroom. In this day and age not providing a way to wash up after using the bathroom is ridiculous. Also, the motion light in the men's bathroom didn't work so you had to make sure you brought adequate lighting if you had to make a midnight run. A bonus is the community wash sinks located throughout the park. We opted to do dishes here after meals. It was very convenient since we were dry camping. The campground is centrally located. That makes it convenient.

Furnace Creek Campground was convenient to all the attractions, both to the north and south. Be sure to fuel up before you get into the valley as diesel (gas) prices are astronomical in town. We topped off our diesel tank at Longstreet Inn Casino, just over the Nevada boarder (route 127).

Everything was good. The dump site and water fill station was closed, but an alternate location was just down the road. Didnt find any receptacles for recycling.

Great campsite that gave us close access to many of the main attractions on the east side of the park. We even heard a pack of coyotes not too far away in the early morning hours. Bathrooms were super clean and great dishwashing spot. The sites are all pretty close together but the mesquite trees were a welcomed sight compared to many of the other campgrounds that didn’t have trees. Firewood was sold out everywhere so we had to drive to Parumph for some. Good idea to call ahead to see if the general store has any.

Park was very clean. Noise level high due to the amount of RV generators going all day until 1900.

Camp sites are close to each other and very limit shade. Restrooms were adequate. Good location for accessing trails and site seeing but not a place to hang around and enjoy the camping.

The reservation process was easy. The campground is clean and I love the fact that, being a Dark Sky Park, all the out buildings are on motion sensors, rather than being on all night!

A lot of very nice friendly people at the campground. Water available and restrooms were clean. Prices in the grocery store are ridiculous. $24 for a six pack of beer. I’ve been to really remote parks and I’ve never seen price gouging like the store. Remember we are still in a pandemic and companies are not supposed to take advantage. Anyway that’s my 2 cents ($24) on that.

Great campsite with good amenities. Only issue was that a lot of the toilets were down, but that was probably due to covid. Otherwise, we had an amazing stay. Centrally located to all the major sites of Death Valley.

Our visit to Furnace Creek Campground was for three nights during mid-January 2020. I would rate our experience with high marks for this place for three areas of the visit; the campground, the National Park features, and available activities. We had a reserved campsite that did not have electric, water, or sewer something we would have preferred but it worked out okay for us to anyway. Unless you reserve early for the campsite services, you get the next best thing. Our campsite had a paved driveway where we parked the camper and car. A picnic table and fire ring grill pit were at each site. The toilet rooms had running water and flush toilets but no showers. There was an outdoor utility sink for washing dishes at each bathroom building. As for as noise, the rules suggest that generators be shut off between the hours of 7:00PM and 7:00AM. One night of our stay, someone may have not known about the rule. It was a nice place to stay though; clean streets and campsites. The National Park Visitor Center had a very nice interpretive center and short movie about the park. Rangers were most helpful with discussions and even leading tours of some areas in the park. This park is rather large and there are several attractions worth seeing even though a drive or a hike are required. We will visit again.

Campsite was clean and organized. The scenery was breathtaking. Temperature were around mid-70's. Saw plenty of coyotes around the campsite later in the evening. I played some golf at Furnace Creek GC, they were right... the ball doesn't travel as far because of the altitude. (-212 below sea level). Overall had a pleasant stay.
