great location for a camp ground, close to the main hikes. we went in November, good weather, stunning view from the top of the valley. Highly recommend Wildrose peak, Telescope peak ( start very early, long hike), Zabriskie/Golden canyon, Mosaic canyon, Mesquite desert dunes. One big minus: no shower available at the facility nearby, although it was supposedly available. You can get shower only by paying for the other campground, which is $34/d (!!!)

Campground was very well kept & Bathrooms super clean. Camp sites, a little on the small side & neighbors are close but nice sites overall. Campground in walking distance to the visitor center, where you can participate in Ranger programs. Join in the Night Sky talk & then go to the dunes to see all that you learned. Awesome experience

Furnace is great. I love that it is next to the visitor center, where I was able to join the ranger's talk and use the cleaner bathroom.

Sites are nearly on top of each other, very little vegetation, no privacy whatsoever. On one side of our tent-only campsite, another tent's occupant snored loudly from 6:30pm until 5:30am, and on the other side, a camper van's alarm went off at 3am, amid much slamming of sliding van doors. The only potable water was at the dishwashing station, and it was warm and off-tasting. No other amenities.

Very busy campground with lots of motor homes during high season. Campsites offer little privacy and bathrooms can be crowded. Walking distance to the resort and near many favorite attractions. Campground host this year helpful and pleasant.

The Furnace Creek campground is well-located within Death Valley National Park. The amenities are sufficient and clean. The campsites are crowded and exposed -- more like an RV parking lot than a traditional National Park. Expect to get to know your neighbors. And make sure one wheel of your truck isn't off the asphalt and onto the gravel at your site, or you'll get a talking to in the morning by the staff.

Nice flat campsites. Nice sized sites but little shade (not surprisingly). Close to bath rooms and dishwashing sinks but dumpsters are by the campground exit. Nice RV dump site.

We loved camping at Furnace Creek. The star gazing is amazing and so are the trails. The Zabriskie trail was breathtaking though not easy. Dante Point is a must see and the view is endless. We will return next year for sure.

We had a great stay at Furnace Creek Campground, with a smooth check-in and a nice campsite. We really loved Artist's Palette and Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes!

Management: There was an abundance of Park Rangers and all of the rangers were amazing in assisting myself and other campers. I was disappointed, however, that with all of the rangers, there were no Ranger led programs of any kindThe tent camp sites are good - shade on most of them. Mine did not have shade but the ranger at the check-in Kiosk was very helpful in getting me an alternate site. The large RVs did not abide by the 'quiet hours', running their generators early and late.Sites: The wind was howling most of the time so headed up into the mountains. WildRose was GREAT - wonderful hike, good flowers, great views. Even though it was windy there, it was cool. It was good to see the Valley from Dante's Point and then go into the valley, especially BadWater, to see the geology up close. There was no literature associated with the Borax Museum and signage was non-existent. So much to see - sorry I missed Salt Creek - next time

No issues, restrooms were clean. Host was polite and helped with noisy neighbors. Wonder why no garbage respectable near bathrooms only at entrance. Strange but made it work.

I don’t know where to begin. Furnace Creek is a wonderful, crowded campground. Lots of camp sites right next to each other, very organized though. We went when there was no moon most of the night and you could see a LOT of stars. I can’t wait to go back.

Campground and facilities are clean and well maintained. Tent sites are very close together. Being the desert there is little vegetation or trees to provide some privacy.

Love to camp in our little tent here! Note: this year due to Covid, the day pass (previously available to purchase) to the pool/showers from the Ranch next door is not available this year. This campground does not have showers. Bathrooms super clean and provide a lovely scented hand sanitizer.

We had no idea what to expect but Furnace creek is a truly amazing experience. This awesome oasis in the middle of such a vast wilderness has a little bit of everything from shopping, camping, even golfing. Death Valley will stay with you long after you go and has probably taken it's place as my favorite National Park.
