Great price for full hook up inside National park, next visitor center, gas station, the ranch, bike path. Cant ask for more. Best time to visit is winter time.

The campground dump/potable water station was closed. We were instructed to go outside the campground to get water. When you have a large motor home & are towing this was an enormous time consuming inconvenience. We should have known this in advance. In addition, there were a number of empty full hook up sites we could have used to get water and dump. The camp hosts followed us so we could not access the open sites. Besides this, the campground was nice.

Site 48 is an excellent location for either RV or tent camping. I was in a 10x14 tent. What makes this an especially good site for tents, is that the pad is plenty long enough for even very large 12 x 16 foot tents to be placed on the asphalt pad along with your car or RV. Placing your tent on the asphalt pad helps preserve the tent floor - the campsites across the road at Sunset and Texas Spring are all gravel, and this really tears up a tent floor. Site 48 is completely level, and it's right next to the restroom. There is a dishwashing sink on the back side of the restroom (the side away from the doors). There is also a large Tamarisk tree right next to the site on the north-west side, which throws nice shade under which you could set your camp chair on warm afternoons. To the south of the site, it's completely open to the sky if you have portable solar panels for electric power. Site 48 is 375 feet walking distance from the trash dumpsters; not too bad, and certainly closer than the sites in the south end of the campground.

I've camped in this campground for over 45 years, almost every year. Best one in the park, always great.

Excellent well maintained site. Bathrooms and facilities are well kept. Sites are close together but sufficiently spaced. Staff were very friendly

The campground park was very nice, clean and well taken care off. The restrooms were clean. When checking in the volunteers did a great job on providing information for the area and a map to our site. During our two day stay, the camp host and ranger were out multiple times checking the reservation post and confirming the guest were in the correct site. They even made rounds at night to all the campsites. A great location, stay and experience. We would recommend that you stay here when visiting Death Valley!

We actually stayed in the non-reservable Sunset campground. It is a flat, rocky large parking lot. It was very adequate for us. We have a self-contained trailer. It has a dump station, potable water and restrooms (which we did not use). If you're used to 'dry camping' it works very well.

The hand dryer in the womens bathroom only blows cold air so isn’t really useful. Bathrooms and campground were clean and I had a nice time camping there.

Not the best place for tent camping, probably better if you're in an RV. Tough to know which sites were better for tent camping when making the booking. Appreciated the automatic lighting in restroom at night

Had a wonderful stay. It was nice to be close to the visitors center but the gas and shower cost at the Inn were really expensive. You need to go to Stovepipe Wells to get decent prices so figure that into your stay.
