The camp was in a wonderful location and was very clean! The park rangers at the site were extremely friendly. My only issue was that some of the other campers around me were disrespectful by putting up flood lights (why would you want flood lights when you're in one of the best night sky viewing locations in the world?), blasting music, and setting up camp/ having very loud conversations during quiet hours. Overall though, I really enjoyed my stay at the site and would recommend it (especially during less crowded times of the year)!

FYI - If it was raining, the walk-in sites can become mud bowls.

It is a very well located campground. Visitor center and ranger programs are also close by.

Watch out for sand/dust storms! Our tent got full of dust and was so gross. Dont leave your pillow unattended!

The location is a decent central location for Death Valley. The camp space is normal and the ranger that managed the camp registration was friendly and had good advice. The water source was always warm to hot and essentially not useful for consumption unless you had ice. Its not the biggest issue if you come prepared. The biggest complaint I had was someone on golf course always running a lawn mower every morning starting at 545-6am. It was April and not like the days get up to 120+ degrees so not sure why someone has to be mowing that early in the morning every morning. But if you want something thats quieter and better star gazing, I would go to mesquite spring or other sites.

Great tent site! Quick walk from the car to the actual site. Way more privacy than the pull in sites

We really enjoyed our time here. The campground was really nice and clean. Each of the campsites has a tree which is great for the hot sun! I would definitely stay here again.

The campground (walk in site) was too dusty with all the wind. And shade was sorely lacking in the afternoons. You need some shelters - even a few - for those that want to sit out of the sun.

Poor knowledge, restroom poor condition.

It's nice to be able to access the pool and pool showers at the resort next door for just $14. After a day of hiking and/or biking, it's nice to be able to be clean when I crawl into my sleeping bag.

Beautiful campsites and the great area got to see all the stars with the new moon so it was a dream come true. The only complaint would be there were many warnings to not bring wood and that it would be sold at the campsite area, but no notice was given that they were out, so we were only able to purchase and use starter logs.

hiking was wonderful, but the support facilities were a sorry statement at the underfunding and/or under management of our national parks. No matter what time of day I went into the restroom, it was dirty, in disrepair and without soap or hand sanitizer. The area for washing dishes (next door to the bathroom) was pitch black. I am sure that a small solar panel would have easily corrected this and why hasn't this been done?? and naturally "sorry, there are no recycling opportunities" our hiking was wonderful and Desolation Canyon is apparently not on the hiking radar very much. we were alone for the entire hike which was shaded (!!!) and found the canyon very alluring. the walk in camp sites are gems if you pick the ones farther out from the parking area 138 ?? have a great time

The campsite is a great place to stop by in the middle of the death valley. The toilet is clean. The outdoor sinks are very convenient for travelers.
