Definitely only a few sites that are conducive to tent camping. Loved our site with the access to the bathroom and big open s-ace in front of the site. Bathrooms were clean and we loved having access to the sinks to wash dishes and get water. Tent spot was shaded under mesquite trees.

It's not my favorite campground as I prefer Texas Springs (which is closed in hot weather). But if you get in the drive-in not RV spaces, it's nice enough.

Great night. Really enjoyed the night sky and it was very easy with our children.

Always a great campground, with running water/sinks. Flush Toilets, no soap, bathrooms should have a touch-free faucet.

Great central location to camp. Militant camp host left a courtesy notice on my vehicle because the kiosk was closed when I rolled in. I even left a confirmation of my reservation on my dash but they still wanted to flex their non existent authority.

The campground was clean, the bathrooms were clean, and the unexpected shade on our site was most welcome.

Great central campground for Death Valley; only wished had been able to secure a second night. Loved the dish washing station.

Great stay. It was nice to have a shaded area, and I hope we can snag this spot in the future. Although we came back from a hike and a group of older women were using our site for a picnic lunch. Then, a Karen come up to us 5 mins before checkout demanding that we leave because she had the site after us and needed to park her car in the spot by noon. That wont deter us from returning, but too many entitled people for just one day.

Great location. Clean facilities. The campsites were very close together and there wasnt any shade in most sites. There were a few sites that did have some shade trees so check the website before choosing your lot. This may be due to their recent flood. Enjoyed my stay

The hiking is the big draw for our group. The maintained roads and trailheads are excellent. It's surprising to see how few people are on the trails once you get a few miles from Furnace Creek. But, it makes for wonderful long excursions with almost no crowds. The hiking guide that is for sale in the park is also very good. And, there are some fabulous online resources for even more hiking information. The opportunities seem to be endless. We plan to spend more days each Spring once we retire next year and hope to do more dispersed camping and overnight backpacking. Hopefully, our bodies will hold up for a few more years. ;-)

RV lights were very bright and a bit annoying for star gazing and astrophotography but the campground was still awesome and had everything you would need including bathrooms, potable water, and firepits.

Excellent tent site. Some trees for shade. Great star gazing!

Nice campground. Sites are fairly close to each other in the "tent" area. Table/bench and grill provided. Flush toilets, running water nearby. No electric outlets in restrooms, no showers. (Showers can be purchased nearby). Walkable to Visitor's Center. We were here in April and the weather was good, not too hot yet. We were up and out in the park early and arrived back to CG late, so much so that the rangers thought we hadn't been there. They were kind enough to call us ask.

We had sites 107, 108 and 109 for tent camping only. We were among the lucky few that actually had shade and I set my tent under the trees. From what I could tell, we probably had the best tent sites in the campground if you use shade in the desert as a metric! Site 110 also look very good. Our experience was unusually quite for such a massive campground. Of course, there were the few folks with generators on all night who just don't care about others, but all in all a very good experience.

Great site. Clean bathrooms. A little noisy from the adjacent RV campground that ran their generators all night long. Overall still a good experience.

Furnace Creek is centrally located, with quick access to Zabreskie Point and Artists Pallete. We were there mid week and it was nice and quiet. The restrooms were clean and people were good about wearing masks when in them. I really like the dishwashing stations- makes it so easy.

Fantastic facility- Were tenters, and the sites were great, with plenty of shade. The dish station is a huge benefit, restrooms were clean, nice weather. The hiking was challenging, but beautiful. Plenty of oxygen!
