The campsite was very clean and convenient. I stayed for 2 nights and it was awesome! The stars shined bright each night. Flushing toilets made me happy I was so happy that the visitors center was open, the rangers were great and gave great recommendations for some great hikes. Mosaic canyon was beautiful! The only problem-not really a problem, I had no cell service unless I was in top of a mountain like Dantes View. I have service with Google Fi. I also wish that sights like 20 mile canyon and bad water had been open, but I guess due to flooding they were closed.

Site backs up to shade bushes and can push tent into the bushes to provide coverage from the sun. Tent does get close to the fire ring. The campground is sandy, if it's windy it creates a bit of a sandstorm and blows in and on things.

Tent sites in the 100 area are too crammed together.

In April, you'll want to get up EARLY and do your hiking. It gets hot early in the day.

We had a great time camping at Furnace Creek. Surprisingly At 2:30 PM most of our campsite was shady from the trees on our campsite. Something I was not expecting for a Death Valley campground. This camping location at Furnace Creek is close by the visitor center, and is not too far from major points of interest.

Made a spontaneous last minute decision to come to Furnace Creek only for the stargazing with not much knowledge of Death Valley, generally. When I arrived, I settled into the site and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of information the rangers offer at the information center located just off camp. Got all that I needed in terms of things to do handled for my time with detailed maps and a suggested of going about seeing the sites. Campground was well-maintained, staff were very pleasant, and facilities were satisfactory. Be prepared for close-proximity to your neighbors in the tent camping areas of the campground.

The campground was clean and nice. Many sites are small so be careful when booking if you normally have a full site. Might be worth getting two so you have space.

Great facilities and location is close to many popular locations to visit in Death Valley. Cell signal is poor so prepare to disconnect. I would advise to bring your own hand soap to be safe--when I arrived the women's restroom had run out of soap and it was never refilled throughout the entire weekend. We had our own soap so we were fine and shared with other campers. Otherwise had a great stay here and the restrooms were very clean.

Good location, easy to navigate around, close to the visitor's center. My group camped at Stovepipe Wells the two nights before we came to Furnace Creek (we only managed to get a last minute campsite at FC for the last night of our trip) and I can see why Furnace Creek is the most popular. The bathrooms were clean, there is easy access to clean drinking water, and the campsites are spaced out nicely.

Close to several attractions, clean grounds and restrooms, and beautiful views. Gas station, visitor center, restaurant, and convenience/gift shop within a mile. Check out Badwater Basin, Artist Palette, and Golden Canyon.
