Wonderful scenic location and campground. Nice trails. However, the place was very windy during our stay. This was typical according to the ranger.

Not exactly the fault of the campground, but no work has been done to fix any roads for the last few storms. I checked in late and work before dawn to see the sunrise. I went according to the map and saw what I could see, coming back to check in. I find this strange since I paid for the site but still have to check in. Staff was cold but adequate. Campsite was really full so this could be part of that. Desert camping is what it is, and Furnace Creek was Bette than most. Good trip and would stay again if in the area.

The location is great, walking distance to the visitor center and central in the park. The sites were nice and some had trees but Id bring something for shade anyways. Bathrooms were clean. Be ready for wind and stake everything down and bring heavy duty stakes to get through the rocky ground.

Great trip. Some RVs had bright lights and generators running (one was also watching a movie loudly late at night, which we could hear from our tent). Not too bad, but it did intrude on the quietness and dark night sky a little bit.

People with RVs need to turn their lights off at night.

Very clean. They monitor the site reservations so if there is a site available with an old reserved sign on it it gets removed every night. Loved my spot with nothing but trees and a golf course behind me. One small negative was the sites that you back into are a pretty tight squeeze to back into if someone opposite you is using all of his space. I had a guy hit my truck trying to back out.

Furnace Creek was a good location for exploring various areas in the Park. The campsites were roomy enough, the campground was clean, and the bathrooms were in good order. This campground is multi purpose, for use by RV (big & small) and tent camping, and it is pretty large, so there is traffic coming and going. But the vibe was good, and people were considerate and friendly. We took some great hikes (Golden Canyon and Mosaic Canyon being highlights). A long drive from Sonoma County, but a good adventure and a special place.

Campsite is very close to each other and not really private. Other tha that, it is okay.

Trailer space WAY to short/small, and too close to space next door. We had to set up our trailer, and then park the truck in overflow parking (which was NOT close by). Camp hosts are on you the minute you arrive, restating rules of what NOT to do (even though no rules violated). Not welcoming at all. We left our space after arriving. We didnt want anything to do with what this campground has become. It used to be fun and welcoming. Now, just rules....rules....rules. No thanks. We wont be back.

Enjoyed our stay at the campground. We found all the fellow campers extremely respectful of the quiet hours and even outside of this no blaring music and minimal party lights on campers. The bathrooms and the sites were very clean. I do have to say with the number of dogs in the campground, we only found a few dogs poops that were not picked up. There should not be any! We have a dog and always pickup as who wants to look/smell dog poop. It is not like you can hide it on the flat, no bush campsites. Extremely rude. We did clean up some random poops that we found too.

We stayed at furnace creek, in a car sleep lot, 2 nights the week of Valentine's day. The campground was completely full. It was clean, well kept, and every campsite was close to a bathroom. Each bathroom has a dish washing station too. The lots are close together so not much privacy except a handful of the tent spots. Our first night was quiet and peaceful. The 2nd night there were 2 families in large RVs that partied until the wee hours of the morning. The camp host was onsite but never came by to quiet them.Showers are available down the road about a quarter of the mile at the ranch. It's $14 for a shower pass and that is good for showers and pool for the entire day. Towels are included in the price. Would stay again but they definitely need better monitoring of the quiet hours.

This was my first time camping in a developed site in Death Valley during peak season. We opted for a campsite reservation since the trip coincided with a new moon and a first come first serve would be hard to come by. Our stay was pleasant, but for several neighbors who kept their generators going way past quiet hours. One of them had high powered floodlights on all night. Our stay would most certainly have been stars if there were more ranger activity regulating that particular rule. The restrooms also felt more spaced out than at most campsites, but they were well lit, clean and flushable. The campsites were also well graded and they weren't uncomfortably rocky. The industrial size sinks near the bathroom were a great help when it came to cleaning up after dinner. This is a family friendly site for sure.
