Very nice campground, I was in an open area where sites were spread out. Very quiet. No complaints. Thank you!

Campground was nice and clean. The Ranger gave me a hard time since one wheel touched the dirt at the camp spot where you enter. Other that that the experience was nice. The park is beautiful. Badwater lake was a unusual treat.

Stayed in winter. Mild days in the 70s and cool nights in the 40s. There is water and sinks for washing your dishes. Foxes and Coyotes will visit your campsite at night, so protect your food. Stars are fantastic but slightly impacted by light from the Vegas metro. The visitor center was great.

The camping is so nice ! The best that weve done during our road trip. The restrooms were clean, the water is drinkable. And we were welcome by a ranger in the morning (we arrived very late at night) who was incredible, very nice and helpful. Also, best sky and stars that I saw in my life. We only stayed one night but I wish I could stay longer. But ! Be careful do not arrived at night, the road is dark and can be dangerous. The location of the campground is perfect.

Our disappointment involved poor personnel at Furnace Creek Campground, and cancellation of long-held reservations. Other DV NP services, and ranger personnel, were great. We arrived at the FCC kiosk after the long drive, and not greeted. NewPerson clearly on their first day. NewPerson was fed information by fellow staffer sitting idly across the desk. We were patientwere on vacation. But time passed, we were detained far too long, waiting as NewPerson stumbled along. It's ok to be new and learning. But the experienced colleague should have moved out of their chair and intervened so we could be on our way. Over the course of our stay we we learned that NewPerson could not answer basic questions, like "where's the recycling." No training, not friendly. The glaring issue was the treatment of campers in our group. Upon arrival, we learned the dump was temporarily out of service. Directed to the dump at another campground, also in poor repair, and we did. All good. We soon learned that friends in 2 rigs, arriving later that day, received calls from FCC as they were en route, cancelling their long-held reservations. No explanation. Each rig was on the road to Death Valley--not a hub of services, and spotty cell service. They weren't offered a substitute, ph. numbers of other RV parks, not a parking space for a night. (The problem at the dump had affected their nearby sites.) When they arrived at FCC a few hours later, their former sites were clearly marked *reserved*--to new campers. Instead of telephoning our pals to report the sites were now clean, FCC staff returned the sites to web-reservable, while our pals called around for accommodation. Their sites were empty that night. FCC staff clearly does not give an F about customers, service, reservations, basic courtesy or kindness. I hope to learn FCC is run by a concessionaire. Never shown such disregard and apathy from genuine NPS staff. We wont return to this park, this mismanagement.

Great first trip to Death Valley! Furnace Creek is a great campground quiet and clean!

Nice toilets and sinks, and an option for paid shower closeby, but the campground itself is one of the least exciting I've stayed at. There is zero privacy between campsites. There is barely any vegetation... It's quite lame. Death Valley needs better campgrounds.

Check in is messy but the rangers are nice and forgiving if you can’t figure out their process alone in the dark with no guidance. Campsites are very close together and not at all private, but everyone coming here knows that.

If you will be in a tent, look for tent-specific sites -- the RV sites can be close together.

The person from Kentucky , when ordering was very helpful. My info was taken, and the site information couldn't have been more wrong.I have a short trlr, and a large truck. Was given a pull through site, that wasn't long enough to park my trlr without moving my truck to parking at the toilet. The site was not a pull through, but a very hard access for a large vehicle. The excuse for the no parking on unpaved areas seemed reasonable otherwise. But there are many sites within view that have no paved areas at all. So they are camping on, and driving on unpaved areas. There were no other sites available, not unusual for this time of year. The camp ground workers were very courteous and helpful. The grounds were clean and bathrooms kept full of TP.After 2 days I stayed the rest of my time at Sunset. Easy parking and good toilets.I did enjoy my stay, regardless of the bureaucracy.

The facilities were great. Clean bathrooms and a great place to wash dishes. We were disappointed that the whole area was unfriendly to dogs. Very difficult to find a place to walk. Our dog slipped her leash one time but was still in our campsite. A nearby campground host began yelling at us. We heard her yelling at several others too. Most of the rangers were nice. But this person made all of us on edge. We probably wont return although weve been coming to Furnace Creek for 35 years.
