The website to book reservations is in real need of an upgrade. Its not reliable. Considering the shutdown . The small staff was fantastic!!!

Average campsite, no shade. Table, fire ring and blacktop pad to park car/RV. Campground was very quiet every night. Best stargazing, very clear skies. Gas inside the park can be expensive, top outside the park. Artist Pallet, Dante's View, Zabriskie Point are don't miss views.

Loved site # 31. Its was spacious, had a semi-private feel to it, decent distance to the bathroom, which by the way was heated at night and had automatic lights during the dark hours. Would definitely come back to same spot!

Its just fine, good base camp, but nothing special about the campground itself.

Furnace creek was nice. It had tables, fire, rings and bathrooms, but the campground directly across the street was even nicer. It had no tables no bathrooms no fire rings, but had an amazing view of all of the mountains around you and hardly anyone was there at furnace Creek because there were so many RVs so close to you and bushes and small trees around you. You couldnt see any of the mountains or the valley that surrounded you and thats why we all came isnt it?

Campsites were pretty close to each other. Watch your pets as coyotes are definitely in the area. Star viewing is superb and the location of the campgrounds is on the middle of the park. Flushing toilets and sinks are conveniently located. Also has a nice size sink bin for potable water.

We really enjoyed our stay at Furnace Creek Campground. Site 31 was a perfect spot for us. November is a great time to visit Death Valley.

The camp spaces continue to be clean and the campground was quiet. Although the RV dump was not available, other options nearby were available.

Great amenities. A little loud, but still a nice campsite

This is the second year the dump station has not been in operation. Why is this not fixed? The bathrooms were not stocked and cleaned each day Ran out of toilet paper. The fire places were half to 2/3rds full and weren't cleaned out between campers. We were told by the camp hosts they try to clean them out between reservations but we had several days where the campground was not full and they were never cleaned out.

We were able to cobble together 3 nights at different sites and it was well worth it. The sites were nicely spaced. We were in ones without facilities, altho there are some sites will full facilities. Bathrooms were very clean. It was a combination of history and geology. Hiking was incredible. Being on the salt flats at the lowest sea level in the states was cool. Its a dark sky park and star gazing was amazing. Days were warm, nights comfortably cool. We plan to make advance reservations and spend a week there next year. There is so much to experience.

We camped at Death Valley National Park Furnace Creek campground during the first week of the year 2022. We enjoyed full operating services from the park, including the Visitor's Center, Gift Shop, and the nearby restaurant. The Ranger talks were operational and FANTASTIC! We will return.

We've been going to Furnace Creek Campground since 1990. This year because you would not answer your phones at he end of April, we could not make our normal reservations. By the time I could use the phone everything was full. We did manage to get 5 days - 3 the first time and 2 the second time with 4 days in between. We had to go over to Sunset for those days. Since there was no 49'ers encampment we had the place in Sunset to ourselves. It was actually better than Furnace Creek with everyone moving every day or so.We do hope by next April we'll be able to all and get our regular spot and that the 49'ers will return and the place will be full of people staying the full two weeks,Whoever maintains Sunset's Bathrooms do a much better job than they do at Furnace Creek and the price is smaller. The only thing bad about Sunset is when people are there for the encampment you don't have much elbow room.
