Love this campground! My second time staying here. Bathrooms and wash stations are clean and well maintained. And a super quick walk to the Visitors Center. Highly recommend!!

We had spot 87 and it was farther away from other camps compared to others. Great stargazing right from camp. Saw a rocket fly by from Vandenberg SFB. Used showers/pool at ranch for $10/day

Death Valley is my favorite NP! This is the best campground in the park although when I bring my RV, Sunset is nice as well. As long as you can plan far ahead this is the best place to stay. If you have the ability to boondock or have a 4x4 and can do more primitive camping in the far back country I highly recommend doing that. If not FCCG is the best place to stay. Also note that Mesquite Springs campground is outstanding if you don't need the stores near by and can be completely away from all cell service,

Campsites were clean and adequately spaced. Dishwashing stations were very nice though quite distant (>100 yards) for many of the sites. Restrooms were clean.When we were there the sewer dump station was closed, but the one across from the nearby Visitor Center was open.The campground is immediately adjacent to the very informative Visitor Center, which we used twice during our stay.The roadway speed bumps are severe and, if camped nearby, are noisy even for vehicles traveling very slow.

The location of the campground was nice however the restrooms are very dated and in need of updating and cleaning. The dish washing station is a great idea but one side was clogged and filled with stagnant water and food. It appears this campground is under staffed and needs funding. I hope improvements are in the plan for the future.

The sites have a good size but not much privacy, and there was no enforcement of quiet hours people were being loud at midnight

Site 87 was big with enough space for 1-3 tents. The other sites seems to be so close to each other. Bathrooms were very clean and they have a designated spot to wash your dishes. Also site 87 is walking distance to Furnace Creek visitor building. This campground is also in the middle of all the major hikes in Death Valley. Overall, beautiful experience.

I loved this campground. Definitely didnt feel like I was in the middle of Death Valley. The fire pit really helped in the cold and the bathrooms were suprisingly clean

Furnace Creek campground is great! The visitor center next door is very helpful and informative. All the NPS staff are super nice and friendly. The facilities were clean and well kept. Clear nights there are great for stargazing, even right in the camp since they keep lighting to a minimum. It's a short drive to many interesting locations like Zabriskie Point, Artist's Palette, Golden Canyon, Natural Bridge, and of course Badwater Basin.

We enjoy staying in the state and National parks.
@KathleenT80170 · Camped on Mar 6, 2022 at Campsite #87
I would implore campers in National Parks to lower their lighting around their campsite. Even tent campers. The bright lanterns and decorative lighting should not be used when youre in a park famous for its night sky.
@ClaireS1336639 · Camped on Jan 31, 2022 at Campsite #87
We were there for 2 nights in February. The sites were wide-spaced and quiet. It was very clean. The visitor center was walking distance from the campground and it is a great visitor center. It got a little windy one night and we had to make sure everything was tied down, but otherwise the weather was great.
@LarryZ605 · Camped on Nov 30, 2021 at Campsite #87
Nice to be able to make advance reservations, and I was able to cancel a couple days of the end due to bad weather approaching on the drive home. I am a tent camper and next time will get a campsite well away of RV's, due to generator music, which was operating legally between 7:00 am and 7;00 pm. There was a lot of construction noise, such as back up warning beeping on vehicles, which were working at the new addition on the Ranch, from sunrise to sunset. Good and easily accessible water and clean well stocked toilet facilities.

A very nice oasis in the desert. Clean and well maintained campground with nice hosts. Close to many day trip hiking and sight seeing areas.

Spacious campsite located in the heart of the park, short walk to many nearby amenities.

Loved that the RV spaces are large, not too close to neighbors. Clean restrooms and water facilities. Great to have a dump in the park. Central to many interesting places and sites. Had a great time.

The dry trailer site at the NP campground was quite acceptable. It is right next to the NP Visitor's Center which was very helpful in planning our day trips. Though the national park is quite large, Furnace Creek is centrally located so there are several fantastic hikes and other interests within about 20 miles. We enjoyed hiking some slot canyons, the wonderful Golden Canyon trail network and, of course, "walking on water" at Badwater salt flats.
