Great campground, relatively central to many hikes. It is a shame though, how many people had lights outside their campers and tents, as the night sky is amazing. Plan to bring your recycling and compost home though. There is very limited recycling and no composting.

Site was very spacious and had a little shade in the form of shrubs on one side. Aside from that, just basically a very spacious parking lot, but the electrical and water hookups and proximity to the visitor center were excellent for the price. Definitely glad to have cancelled at the private Fiddler's Creek next door as this campground was much nicer. Utilized a day pass to pools next door for shower access...women's shower was not nice for price (just one shower with a curtain in a public bathroom with no lock, and the other one was under repair with plumbing equipment strewn about the floor), but that's no reflection on this campground.

We had a wonderful time in Furance Creek Campground. The campground was clean, quiet and very easy to access. The campground was very close to the visitors center allowing us to learn more about the park prior to exploring. Zabrinski's Point, Artist Palate, Badwater Basin, Natural Bridge, and Golden Canyon were all a very short drive from the campground. We would highly recommend a stay here!

Great location for Death Valley right in the middle of everything. Bathrooms were not clean and in need of repair. Three of four mens stalls were a mess. No Wi-Fi which was a disappointment. There are only 14 full hookup spots and we had one which made this nice. Nice hosts on site. RV site were large for hook up spots. I’d stay here again. Bring your own firewood as none is available. Expensive gas but expected.

The only downside to Furnace Creek Campground is allowing generators to run all day. Would be nice if more sites had electricity but also glad there's a large enough campground to allow us to have a place in the park to stay.
OTOH, drive 25 miles to Stovepipe Wells and there is more camping space without the crowds and generator noise.

The campground is in a good location, very central in Death Valley. You can walk to the Visitor Center which is right next door. It's about a half mile walk to The Ranch at Death Valley where there is a general store and restaurant.

The campground is clean and well maintained. The only downside is that the spaces are pretty close together so loud neighbors were a distraction.
