Ubehebe Crater is well worth the drive from Furnace Creek. We also enjoyed biking the One Way 20-Mule Team Road except for the individual who apparently ignored the Do Not Enter sign posted at the roads Exit

This site was perfect and wasn't surrounded by other sites.

Furnace Creek campground was the perfect location for our 4-day spring trip to Death Valley. Stunning Mountain Views, trees and bushes at the site for privacy, adjacent to the visitors center, and a quick drive to everything we wanted to see and do. Our trip was fantastic.

Not much you can do about the lack of shade but most of the sites have none. The bathrooms in our area were not well maintained of cleaned often. Nice having an area for dish washing and path to the visitor center. I do not recommend biking in DV due to fast speeding drivers distrracted by scenery and no shoulder for safe riding. Separate bike path to bad water and stovepipe well would be nice. This campground better than Stove Pipe, which is nothing but a parking lot.

The campground was clean and well run. The staff was friendly. There isn't much shade, Which is fine for January.

Our part of the campground (site 32) was pretty ugly, with bright lights and parked utility vehicles visible across the road. Lots of asphalt, lots of RVs, not a nice scene for tent camping. Ended up leaving early and going to a nearby non reservable campground which was much nicer.

Death Valley is mind boggling. Just an amazing experience. Keep doing what you are doing.

Sites are close together, but not disturbingly close.

lovely, perfect. a few idiots drove around too fast, but otherwise it was a great place to stay.

Check-in staff were very helpful. After a long drive it was so nice to be met with a cheerful pleasant smiling face.

The campground is very well maintained and accessible to the ranger station. A short drive to the Ranch at Death Valley to shop at the general store. When we were there the Bar and Grill were not open only take out. We also had a good lunch at the golf course, too, which is nearby the Ranch sor to in the back area. Be sure to ask about seeing the Milky Way at night as that was a spectacular view at 3:30am.

Hot! We were there in April and it was hot. Minimal shade at the campground made it tolerable, but it didn't cool off sufficiently until after midnight.
