Karen at the front was great. All the people were very friendly and kind. Even our fellow campers were all nice. The campground was super clean, the bathrooms were in great shape, too. Importantly, the entire campground is labeled clearly - so if you arrive after dark you can find your spot easily! And of course, the location is breathtaking! We will definitely be back!

More sites should include electricity. Generator time is 7pm and temperatures there are still over 90 at that time making it miserable in campers

We have come to Death Valley with our cycling club for the past 4 yrs to enjoy some warm weather while its cold at home. We always enjoy our stay at Furnace Creek. The camp ground is clean, rest rooms are cleaned daily, and other campers are always respectful. Employees are always polite and helpful. We enjoy cycling out to Badwater and Stove Pipe Wells. Weve been waiting years for Scottys Castle to reopen but Im sure the holdup is due to funding.

Furnace Creek campground has all the basic necessities, but lacks any real character. It is more like a parking lot. The restrooms and washing areas were clean. There were not separate trash and recycling containers, which is disappointing for being a national park.

The camp ground, restrooms and property, as always, was clean and neat. Considering the challenges Mother Nature provided this year we must bow to the crews and the park service for the job well done in cleaning up the mess. The Rangers, all thumbs up.The new Casitas are beautiful.............and unfortunately empty. My only complaint, which has been for the last couple of years, the vendor running the restaurants is out to lunch. The prices are ridiculously high and the selections are at best limited. And, in my discussions in the camp grounds the people say, "We don't go over there anymore, it's a rip off." While dining at lunch, between noon and 1 pm there were only two other people in the buffet. Both of them signed in on a clip board which would indicate they were workers not guests. The bar in the evening was also empty. When I got the menu and saw the prices I also got up and left. An order of chicken wings and a beer, with tip, is not a bargain at about $50.00.People that go to Death Valley generally are not the Park City bunch and are price sensitive and that is why the restaurants, that used to be filled with laughing, talking people making new friends, discussing their adventures are now more like visiting my recently deceased grandmother at the morgue. And........it's getting worse. I stop in Death Valley twice a year, going from Arizona to Oregon. I have been making this trip for many, many years. Like others that make the sojourn I think next spring I am going to take a different route. The sceanery and ambiance of the Valley are unsurpassed however, in my opinion, the Park Vendor is allowing poor management and price gouging to take away a lot of the Death Valley experience. Greed is ugly even in a beautiful, beautiful park.

Wonderful campground located below sea level! Fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. All the campsites are maintained in excellent fashion, with clean restrooms. The tent camping sites are especially exceptional. Always have a fantastic experience at Furnace Creek.

We had a great stay. Camped in the "group" sites yet they wouldn't let the 4 of us park in a square config. We had all 4 sites. Was able to see 13 sites in the park in 2 days. Visitors center is very nice, watch the 18 min movie, worth the time.

The camping area and the people managing that area as usual were excellent. However, paying $90 for a small steak, potato and two beers served in a cardboard box with plastic utensils was outrages! That amount did include a tip.

Dry camped at Furnace Creek Campground. Great central location with toilets and water stations. Wide sites with fire pits. Had a great stay and recommend this trip to everyone.

These is so much to see in Death Valley. Be sure to go in March - April - Sept - and Oct. Dante's View is worth the drive. The race track is really worth the drive. Titus Canyon, if you go there, make sure you have 4-Wheel drive. On the way to Bad Water, make sure to check out the canyons and the Devils golf course. The charcoal kilns are amazing and the drive there is beautiful. Lots of wildlife. The Ubehebe Crater is one not to miss. Mustard Canyon is close to the campground, and about the borax mining is interesting. The visitor's center has some great maps to help these areas. If you go to badwater, make sure you have drinking water with you. Going out on the salt flats really dehydrates you. If you need gas, it is usually cheaper in Stovepipe.
