The walk-in tent area was a wonderful quiet location on the edge of a busy campground. The walking distance wasn't too far, but provided a nice buffer from campers arriving after dark. The campsites were well distributed and most that I saw had at least one salt cedar tree for shade and and a sense of privacy. Although it was a bit of a trek, the wash station for dishes by the nearest restroom was much appreciated.

Its a bit of a walk to the bathroom, but theres a great view of mountains for sunset and its next to a tree.

Way too noisy, I was in 118 and then in 119. It's a long walk from the parking lot to the tent and table site. The restrooms are a fair distance away as well. The issue was the airplanes during the day, the car doors slamming at 5:00 am each morning for early risers. Please remind campers to softly close car doors if awake and leaving before 7:00 am. Then the construction trucks started driving early morning to the golf course. Anyway, ,I loved the park in general except for the noise. I would probably not camp here again. Texas Springs was much quieter. Also the North end of the Park is super noisy with all the jets from the nearby Air Force Base. Apparently, Death Valley became a park well after the air force base was already established, so the folks flying jets have prior rights tot he airspace above the park and they played all day. I attended a ranger talk in the dunes and he had to stop numerous times to let the jets pass overhead before he could continue his talk.

We went when it was suppose to have a high of 40, be super muggy, and have have clouds the entire time. Instead, it was 60 [not that the park can control the weather], and it was perfect. We had no service at all, not even roaming service. We had seen maybe 1 mosquito our whole stay and had no one camping around us. It was lovely. Ideal location. We were able to visit most of the park in a day, some things were closed due to storm damage still but that's okay. The visitor center did not have the national park passport stamps. Everything was a vibe tho so 10/10Oh. Perfect view of the stars. Has good restroom facilities, a different location to shower, and a water refill station.

3rd time staying at this campground and I love it. All times have been in December, when the days are warm and the nights are cool. The campground is always clean, as well as the bathrooms, which makes for a pleasant stay. This time I stayed at Site 119 again, which is right on the edge of the desert, so you can watch the sun go down behind the mountains in the evening. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Our trip here was amazing, even with strong winds (we almost lost our tent!). The view can't be beat and the fact that there's shade is fantastic. The amenities were kept super clean. I look forward to the hotel pool and showers being available for future trips. We will definitely be back!

Loved Furnace Creek and Death Valley. I don't know what has taken me so long to get to this park. I have never seen anything like it. You must go.

We loved our tent site on the outer edge of the area. Positioned the tent near the tree for shade and had our own unobstructed view of the valley. The Badlands Loop hike was an add-on that we enjoyed a lot.

Great facilities, lots of space, and even some shade trees to boot! We loved our time here. Only reason its not 5 stars because there was no way to shield our tent from the heavy wind we experienced. We were in one of the outermost sites and wind was quite a problem for our tent. Not a huge demerit for the site, just the time we chose to visit.
