Campground was quiet, and a good hub for seeing the park. Not many flat spots for a tent at site 130 unless you setup in the common space where people walk to get to the other hike-in sites.

Nice and peaceful stay. Will return for future hikes.

This is my 4th time staying at this campground and I still love it. I use the walk-in spots since I just have a small tent. It's right on the edge of the desert while still having flush toilets and running water a few hundred feet away, as well as the car being parked very close as well. At night time, it gets very dark and is pretty quiet, especially after midnight. The fire pits at each site are an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Our first night was at Furnace Creek, which was nice, but due to popularity we needed to move for our second night. Fortunately we found an alternative site at a first-come location called Texas Springs which also allowed us to extend our stay beyond two nights. It too was nice.

The facilities were good and the campsite was well situated. A win.

Nice tent camping facilities, friendly staff, excellent welcome center. Salt Creek in the sunset was beautiful; Badwater Basin and Artist's Palette were interesting and accessible with young kids; wish we had set aside more time for Golden Canyon. We plan on returning to explore more.

It was an unfortunate situation which hampered a greater enjoyment of camping at Furnace Creek. Extreme winds and an extensive dust storm put the damper on a generally fine adventure. Mother Nature won parts of the day, but all in all it was a good visit. Weve been camping there before and will probably do so again.

This campground is in a very good location. One can walk to most areas in Furnace creek. The big problem is when you want to get cleaned up after a day out sightseeing or hiking. If you are a tent camper there are NO shower facilities. Signs in restroom clearly state no bathing of any sort allowed in restroom area. Death Valley campgrounds are in need of shower rooms at the campgrounds. It was windy while we were there and as tent campers it was impossible to cook or sit outside the tent due to blowing sand and dirt. Just bad luck for us. We love this national park but facilities are very primitive for tent campers.

We liked our site but it got crowded and loud. Host didn't seem to mind the site next to us having more than 8 people. I'm not sure that I would stay in this campground again.

Well maintained camp site. There used to be showers at furnace creek and they are closed for renovations. So if you need a shower, you have to drive for an hr to stovepipe wells.

We got a flat tire and the ranger on duty brought his electric one over and got enough air in it to get us to the garage up the street. We were very grateful!

The campsite was great. Great location for experiencing DV. The only downside was that the campground was full and the sites are not the most secluded. There is so much to do in DV that I was only there to eat breakfast, dinner, and sleep. Great experience and I cant wait to go back.
