I saw 2 sheep on the Falls Canyon trail 3 miles in. Also the night talk at the visitor center at 7pm is awesome!

This is a perfect spot for a big group. Lot's of foot traffic though because it's close to the bathroom. But all and all, great spot!

We stayed in ground campsite#4, and it was spacious. There are 3 picnic tables in my site, long and nice. Night temperatures were in the mid 30's, so campfire helped a lot. The restroom was just accross street with a washing station outside. Dump station is also near by, very conveient. Not many vegitations, so pretty dusty when windy, and it did get windy! There are many scenic spots need 1.5 hours of driving from the furance creek campground. Be sure to fill up the gas before entering the NP. You can get gas inside the parks at furance creek, Stovepipe and Paramint Sring areas, but the price is almost doubled! We stayed 4 days and 3 nights, but wished to have at least one extra day to visit the klins at the wildrose tralhead. There are many scenic trails less than 3 miles long. Group by area to avoid driving back and forth insdie the park. I will come back again in Oct or Nov to challenge the Wildrose peak and the Telescope peak, which had snow covered in late Jan.

The RV sites had better facilities. Parking areas for the RV's were paved. Tent folks had to deal with mud and exposure. Further, the number of toilets was not adequate in number for the number of people in the area. A disappointing experience.
