Campground is pretty basic, but facility is well managed. There isn't a lot to do around the campground itself but is centrally located within the park. The only downfall is that during my stay some sort of heavy equipment could be heard in the distance in the early morning on a Monday, around 4 am and didn't stop till close to 10am. Not sure if this was work being done in the airport or golf course. Other than that, all campers were respectful, and it basically was lights-out around 10 pm.

Nice area with separation from other campers. Good flat ground for tents.

The bathrooms are clean and have flush toilets, thank you! When the wind blows it really blows. Several campers lost their tents in the wind storm while we were there. The dust, sand, and dirt affect everything and everyone. The camp sites are basically on top of each other, with no privacy at all.

Lovely campground. We stayed in the tent only walk in sites. Sites are adequately spaced. Bathrooms were kept very clean. Furnace Creek is really an ideal jumping off point for the entire park. The visitors center is just down the road and the rangers were very helpful. We took a drive to the Kilns, which was absolutely stunning. Zabriskie Point is also not to be missed. I would LOVE to visit again.

Campground host was very kind and friendly. Instructions provided were clear and easy to understand. I had a WALK-in campsite because I wanted more privacy and space and that was what I got for a full group of 8 people and we stayed for two nights. Campsite was clean and had shadows. It was perfect for what I was looking for. I was on site 129 and even when it was awesome, site 128 was a little bigger and had more shadows. Unfortunately, that site was taken already so we couldnt get it. Parking lot was clean and the lanes were well marked. Restrooms were always clean and open. I also have to tell that is in a great location since it is just next to the Park Visitor Center and less than a mile from the village where you can find a couple of restaurants, lodging, general store and more. Highly recommended. Our staying was on mid December.

Death Valley is a Sacred place with lots to see and experience. Furnace creek campground is not. Many people had campfires at night and this created a lot of smoke for all of us to breath. Having some lights or water in the bathrooms would also have be nice but was not the case.

My 4th time staying in the tent only area and a great experience as always!

The nearest bathroom to my campsite had hand sanitizer only in the bathroom, so what I saw some people do is bring their own hand soap. Wish I had thought to do that, so that's my tip if you're staying at Furnace Creek. Otherwise, I really appreciated the proximity to attractions and the visitor center. I especially enjoyed the Golden Canyon to Red Cathedral hike, Zabriskie Point, and the Mesquite Sand Dunes.

The site, 129, was decent sized with good shade. Tent pad was a bit sloped. A little far from the bathroom and a short hike from the car to the site.

When checking out (since we arrived late when the booth was closed, and as instructed, visited on our way out the next morning), the tenet at the front did not really know what he was doing or looking for... I gave him my name and spot number, and he said he didn't see anything for me, even thought I had proof of payment, a receipt with the correct date and confirmation number. He said, "oh, but you're leaving now anyway right?" I said yes, and he flagged us on. Did not seem very efficient..

Other than that we had a great experience. It was quiet, affordable, beautiful, with friendly security and the facilities and surroundings were very clean.
