Spent one night here before relocating to one of the backcountry campsites. This has all the amenities but the sites are much too closely spaced and filled with RVs. Its like spending the night at a truck stop. The backcountry site was much much better.

I don't know why I waited so long to visit Death Valley. Furnace Creek was more than I expected, nice clean and flat sites, nice visitor center directly next door and even dinning and a golf course just beyond that.

Great experience at the Furnace Creek! The park is very clean and close to all the main attractions. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

Our stay was from March 15th - 17th 2024. It was great! First time to Death Valley and Furnace Creek and we loved it. The camping spots are a bit closer than they appear, but spot 57 has one side with no campers on it, so that helped. Very clean park, close to all the main sites, I can't recommend highly enough. We will be going back.

We brought a 14 foot teardrop trailer. 57 is a back in site, a bit short, but we could easily get our trailer and Outback on the pad. Restrooms are clean, but no showers. It's all pros, I have stayed at lots of state and national parks, this was a really nice experience. I can't think of any cons other than some of the spaces being a bit close.

If you go and have the time visit the crater, it's about an hour from Furnace Creek. It's awesome and worth the drive.

Nice convenient location. Plenty of open space. Great for night pictures. Can even get a good sunrise and sunset from the campground.

This is a great campground, I have been there twice, the campground is central within the park boundaries and the most of the hikes/view pts are about 30 - 45 min drive from campground. Cell service (text msg, phone calls only) was OK at the campground, compared to virtually no service throughout the park. We had site #57, the drive in "pads" we had could easily support two cars. The fire pit was large and had a sturdy "Lift-able/Removeable" attached grate so you could use the entire round pit. I appreciated the aluminum picnic table vs wood, it was large enough to support our cook stove, and seat 6 adults, easy to clean and use. The space (dirt area) was large enough to support two medium tents, and they were able to not be near the fire pit, but "tent-able" area vary by site location. Bathrooms were cleaned frequently (we had 3 bathrooms within 50 - 150 yards from our site), which had flush toilets and running water sinks, and separate outdoor free standing large sinks to fill up water jugs, etc. Totally met our car camping/tent camping needs. See ya next winter trip to Death Valley.

Campsite was clean and other campers seemed courteous. Death Valley is.a great location to explore. Get the newspaper printed by the park service which suggests some of the top things to see. One could easily spend a week or 2 weeks exploring Death Valley and not see everything! Great place to visit and a real treasure of a National Park. Do read up on the history of the park, it is fascinating!

Great scenery. Good location. Clean bathrooms. The visitors center Bookstore is small. Fill up on gas, drinking water and firewood before entering the park. Be prepared for high winds.

Web site for reservations was somewhat confusing. It inaccurately describes some of the sites.

Far from the more scenic campgrounds some of the National Parks have to offer, but still great all the same. Conveniently located in the center of the park and next to the visitor center. Lot's of restrooms and water troughs located. Easy to get anywhere in the park.

This was a nice central campground for adventuring in Death Valley. Our campsite, 57 , had some nice morning and evening views. The price was right for a beautiful national park. Thank you NPS.
