Staff was very good and helpful. The site we choose was next to the dumpsters, that was not shown in the photo.

Great site. Camped in site 55. Ample space for the tent and clean. Bathrooms were nearby and clean as well. Rangers were also very helpful. The only negative things were that the trash bins are next to this site. It stunk when the wind changed direction towards us. And you do have to share a fire pit with the next campsite. Other than that, great site!

Check-in process was smooth. Restroom was clean. The only issue was my campsite was close to the dumpsters, and some people just slammed the dumpsters at night causing a lot of noise (not the national parks fault). I will stay at this campground again in the future

Very nice campgrounds and close to most of the places to see. I would go there again.

Great campground with clean bathrooms, drinking water, and friendly staff. Campsite is close to the village where you can buy firewood and extra supplies.

Overall a decent campground with good access to the main Death Valley places of interest. Stayed 2 nights during Thanksgiving week; site 55 was closest to the entrance and the row of dumpsters - only grabbed it after a cancellation. It was perfectly acceptable site notwithstanding. Terrific fire ring with a swing out grill top too. My only complaint (and I told the ranger this too) is that the men's bathroom closet to us was not cleaned during our stay. It became really disgusting (think filty like the worst gas station bathroom you've ever used), and it's clear they never bother to sweep the floor - bug and mice poop very visible. The exterior sinks for washing dishes were also not cleaned. This was unacceptable (and surprising) and added unnecessary risk of infection given a full campground. This should never happen. The campground hosts were always "off-duty" when I walked by and was poised to alert them.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our recent trip out west. The campground was nice, clean, had a ranger staying in the campground. The bathrooms were nice and clean. We were able to go next door to the Ranch Inn and use the pool shower for a small fee. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

The best location in the center of the park. Nice clean toilet. I wish they had shower, then it will be perfect. My site is next to the main entrance so I can hear all cars passing, and no shades at all. That was the only site available when I made the booking, yes the campground was full! But hey we are in Death Valley, right. No complaints here**wink

Some sites are too close to the folks next door. Almost like a parking lot. But this campground us way better than the two across the street.
Bathrooms are great though as are the water refill station. Great location.

I was not told that site 55 had some very unique issues...including sharing a fire pit with another set of campers. Very strange site. I camp regularly and hadn't seen anything like it. I was not warned and I paid FULL price.

This tent site is right next to the dumpsters and the RV loop. You can get a bit of privacy by setting your tent up behind the trees, which provides a little coverage from wind or the sun. Suggest going to the tent-only sites if you can.

The location is great, next to most of the stops/sites we wanted to visit! The campsite does feel more like a parking lot though, but its due to the fact that it is mostly an RV dominated park. We reserved a tent site right next to the entrance/exit where the garbage bins are located, so many people walked through our campsite. We still very much enjoyed our time here; theres a large parking space, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Next time we will just reserve a space with a little less foot/car traffic!
