Sites were parked on top of each other. If anyone started their generator, they were so close we couldnt have a conversation outside the trailer. The road for the campground was so narrow, I saw countless people having to use other peoples camp sites across their site to have enough room to back their small trailers into their spot. The parking spot was the width of your vehicle. The dump station was closed which made it hard for people staying over a week. Your choices for fresh water was either all the way at the dump site or you would need a small container to put under the sinks they have around the area and transfer it to anything larger then a liter bottle. There are no walking trails at the campground unless you count walking to the visitor center. Overall this place is only good if you want to be near the attractions, as its not a good campground just to just camp.

I love Furnace Creek! Generally I camp on BLM lands in the public domain, and Furnace Creek gives you just enough blend of a structured campground and a public open space feeling. Campers here are really National Park people so there is an excellent sense of community there. The grounds are exceptionally well kept and the staffing is excellent, proactive and friendly. The dump station was clased when I was there but there is a common dump location off the main road a 1/4 miles away. Love this place! If you are considering Stovepipe Wells or Furnace Creek, choose Furnace Creek!

Mostly another great trip to Furnace Creek. RV dump out of service, water shut off in campground for 1/2 day. We understand 'stuff' happens and that maint is required but it still lead to inconveniences.
Side note, prices at the Oasis are extremely high for things like prepared food and convenience. A little understandable due to distance to get supplies but a warning to visitors to research first to see if it fits into your budget or should you make preparations in advance such as bringing your own food, etc. Happy to see staff enforcing mask mandate and confused as to why people insist on trying to break it.
One last, do NOT count on good internet reception. Phone marginal.

Lots of family and noise. If you are looking to get away from that, do not choose here.

Nice, clean, quiet campground. Situated centrally to many spectacular hikes and views of Death Valley.
